I think that we may do the Holiday Inn Express Brooklyn since it is close to the subway and still close to the cruise port. Can someone tell me some flat rate car services to use to get us from LGA to the hotel and from the hotel to the port? Or let me know if there are better transportation options. Again, thanks so much for the help.

We prepaid the voom and surf package. Can anyone tell me how that worked onboard?

I would like to hear how the internet/wifi and the A/C are working on the 2nd sailing. Of course, other updated info would be appreciated also. I hope everyone is doing better this sailing.
-
They are crossed for sure.

Empress doesn't show on this site, but I can't remember the other sites.
-
Has anyone heard from those onboard now?
-
Thanks for posting. Guess I will go and we will have a good time regardless. I just need the A/C to work and will deal with the rest.

That is one of the numbers that I called and had no luck.
-
That is the number I tried. No budging for me.

I have tried multiple numbers to switch ships and have had no luck. They all say they haven't heard of any problems.
-
Can you please post that phone number. I have tried to change mine with no success. Thanks

THank you all for the replies. I will have to look into all of these. Coming from a small town where we don't ride the bus or the subway this is almost overwhelming. That is why I am starting the planning early.

I know we want to see the Statue of Liberty, and the 9/11 museum. We will be there Oct 25 and 26. Probably Times Square and really not sure yet what else. Having never been there, I am still reading up on my options. I have the Comfort Inn Redhook for I thing $160/night. I assume we can stay there and get a cab to the nearest subway if needed.

I spoke with the Crown and Anchor office today to ask a question about my sailing. They again said that they have no knowledge of AC issues or problems with this cruise. Communication is amazing!

I wonder if RCI is stopping new bookings on these sailings to keep numbers down. Our 6/16 cruise still had several cabins available at the beginning of this week. Hoping it is not to cancel like some of the prior sailings.

We are flying into LGA 2 days early and plan to do the New York City Pass for 2 days. Will probably use the hop on/hop off options. We currently have Comfort Inn Redhook booked for both nights as is is so close to the port. After reading I am now somewhat concerned about its location and ease of getting to the sights and the bus. I would prefer to stay around $200/night. Any suggestions? If we stay here, what would be the easiest way to get to the needed transportation?

Especially if the heat wave on board continues.

I am glad the ship looks awesome, but A/C issues and lack of food choices make me nervous. I assume that both of those things can and will easily be fixed before my June 16 sailing.

Any pictures of 4th floor OV?
-
We have an ov on 4th floor. Cant wait to see pictures. I assume ours will be similar.

So anxious to see some pictures. Anyone have some to post?
-
Can't wait for the review and the pictures. We are on the June 16 sailing.

How was the A/C in most areas? Do you know if you can rent just snorkeling vests on Cococay?
