Here we go again.......

I hope everyone gets answers soon. As they cancelled 12 days before on the last round, and Royal was still telling everyone the day before that they were sailing-makes me nervous. Hard to trust them at this point.

My daughter is leaving Jan 2 from port of Miami. She will arrive Jan 1 and hotel prices are crazy. I have her booked at Hilton Miami Airport on Blue Lagoon for a reasonable price. I see that people report the Hilton being a decent hotel and blue lagoon being a safe enough area. Am I correct? Any other suggestions for $200 or less that might be closer to the port?

Oops, I searched Bahamas cruises and those dates are not. Thanks. They are making me nervous.

I was looking online at Empress cruises. The only April cruise showing is April 21 which says sold out, the April 25 cruise is not showing as an option- unless I missed it. Wonder what is happening now?

Where do I go to see if I reveived the $25 credit? Also, how long should it take before I can tell?

Marine traffic for me says arriving Freeport on April 2.

Do we know for sure that she is going on to Freeport or is that just one of the speculations?

I so agree. I am cruising on Empress in June and am anxiously awaiting it leaving from Miami with guests onboard.

What can happen in Tenerife-meaning is it a dock for work or a dock for supplies or ?

I know this has been asked, but I can't seem to find the answer. What are the dates that Majesty is planning to go in dry dock? Just trying to check my options if my June 16 Empress sailing is cancelled.

What can be done differently in Freeport vs Spain? Just very interested in all of these conversations and hope we learn the reason soon.

So, since this is such an astronomical issue that you cannot divulge, do they still think that it can be fixed by the time the non-cancelled cruise sails or should we expect additional cancellations?

I have the option of booking 2 rooms at the Holiday Inn Port of Miami or a 2 room condo room at Double Tree Miami Biscayne Bay for basically the same price. There are 4 of us. We are interested in a pool, and short walk to food and things to do. Looks like both have this and also a nice view of the water. Any comments about either, and which you would choose and why?

By problems I just meant "kinks". Everything new has issues, I guess problem wasn't the right word to use.

Yes, I do cruise on Princess and NCL. I have been on Royal once before. I am anxious to see how a ship just out of refurb looks. Not sailing till June, so hope everyone keeps it clean and gets all the problems fixed before then.

Since this is a smaller ship than I am used to, will I have more problems with sea sickness? How many pools and hot tubs? Does it have a paid sanctuary area?

Not sure if these questions can be answered until it sails again, but thought I would ask.

I have a room booked pre-cruise. We will not have a car and will be dropped there by the SAS shuttle. I like the area to be able to walk to the outdoor Mall and to be close to the port. The reviews have been extremely mixed. I have also read rumors of it closing soon. Anyone have any new reviews or information about closure.
