  1. Couldn't have said it better! This post took a tacky turn! Thank you, Patty
  2. This board will be of no help. You need to contact your TA asap! This is not an ideal situation nor one I've experienced. I believe at this point it's up to who you booked with, to figure all this out. I understand your frustration, Patty
  3. IT glitches are common, it's often that the system takes a few days for prepaid gratuities and OBC to level out. Your invoice shows the actual OBC. $1700 for that booking, in that class, would have been too good to be true! Sorry you're disappointed, Patty
  4. The link is to the regular menu, not what I'd suspect is the special holiday meal.

    ISP SkyRider

Hello for those of you visited ISP in the 2022 season can you share how ISP ran the Skyrider? I did the skyrider a few years ago and at that time it was a combo tour with ATV's so that's how I reached the top. Now in my cruise planner for my July 2023 cruise there is only 1 time to book and its 7:30am with unlimited gondola rides. I also want to do another tour and the times are conflicting, keeping me from being able to book them. (Just pre-planning) So my question is how many times did they have throughout the day for booking? In the past it was multiple so making sure this hasn't changed? It is super early so am hoping that more times will come available in the coming months? TIA Patty
  8. Congrats! I saw them a few years ago via cruise ship, quite special!
  9. I've read a few times here on CC that this does happened. Like mentioned only one key card for entry and there isn't a designated gate attendant. I absolutely disagree with this and do believe it needs to be addressed by ~X~ but as with everything else.... if and when is up to them. Patty
  10. Bottom line unless we sail on a private yacht, we will have to deal with the good, the bad and the ugly. People will be people, regardless of what stateroom category is booked.
  11. Thanks for the info!!! My plans are for Feb so hopefully I'll get to ride in the open air Range Rovers, they look fun.
  12. wednesday, did you happen to hear back from them? I also reached out a few days ago, to book a tour via their website and haven't gotten any response. TIA, Patty
  13. https://khns.org/governor-declares-disaster-emergency-for-skagway-in-response-to-rockslides There is hope!
  14. I am also sailing July 2023 out of Seward w/cel. I've done this sailing before, you're going to love it! We had fun in ISP ~ recommend the zip-rider, it's a blast! I agree with many other that it's pricey but what isn't right now? 🤑
  15. I can tell you're excited! 🐻 I'm posting with good intentions, not attempting to burst your bubble BUT if this is your first cruise to Alaska, I'd highly recommend researching the itinerary/port times, imo that's much more important than a few suits. Just a heads up ~ This particular sailing out of Seattle isn't going to allow for prime Alaska sightseeing if that's important to you. Speaking from experience, I've sailed 3 times r/t north & south bound, retuning July 2023 Alaska is special, enjoy your adventure! Patty
  16. Bookbabe ~ Do you know if reservations are required or can we just show up? Thanks Patty
  17. Thanks for the heads up. I've always been able to just show up and get a table for 2, after reading the latest experiences from those currently sailing, I opted to book our dinners to avoid waiting. At this point I think I'll go straight to dining room on day of embarkation to ensure we are seated together, if we end up at a table of 6 or 8 that will be fine also, just as long as we sit with our friends. Patty
  18. I booked and selected the guests in my reservation which is 2 so assume I'll have a table for 2. My friend did the same, we have linked reservations so now plan for a table for 4. Patty
  19. Sailed Millie twice in Alaska, in August. Kids will not be an issue. More are in the Caribbean and Europe than Alaska in my experience.
  20. I've sailed Alaska 3 times and am returning July 2023, it can be a very active trip! I've also sailed Europe several times, both are amazing but I vote Alaska for weather during this August. As posted above, I'd also do the land portion on my own. In Alaska the ship isn't the focus, it's 100% about the scenery. Tours are very pricey, much more than Europe and I do suggest getting out of the port areas for a much better experience. Only you know if you care more for wildlife, mountains and glaciers or cathedrals, sunsets and ancient architecture. Alaska is truly special! Patty
  21. Yes that is correct. If you sit upright, you're facing the forward direction not backwards.
  22. Hello, I have searched and I get many posts that are not at all what I am looking for...🤪 I have anytime dining, I want to be able to keep my schedule flexible, in your experience for those who have sailed Beyond and Edge in Europe has it been difficult to be seated by just showing up? I have always been seated within minutes on all other class ships in Europe, Alaska and Caribbean so mostly trying to gather if there is any difference other than that I'll now show up to any of the 4 MDR's other than just the main one? Thanks in advance, Patty
  23. I've stopped checking bags years ago! Have sailed Alaska and Europe for 2 weeks with carry on only!
  24. I posted on the first page of this thread that I found out this info on FB forums last week. Also did a screenshot to try an help with the confusion.
