I have just had this reply from Cunard UK part of which is

Thank you for your email. Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay in our reply.

After communication with our Port Operations Team, I can advise that Queen Mary 2 is scheduled to be docked at Pier 12, Brooklyn Cruise Terminal for her visits to New York on 20/21/22 December 2021 and 03 January 2022 during voyage M403B.

Hopefully we can now get on with preparing for this cruise

  3. you need to order your test before you sail as you need the unique identifier for your PLF form. I received the code by return email and the kits 2 days later you need to complete the test 2 days after your return to the UK. You can complete the PLF 21 days before your return to the UK.

Ok, so I got the answer to my original post. I just received a copy of the revised passage contract and a COVID risk waiver. The three of us in our group in the states have all received it. Our London companion has not. I'm assuming one of two things: the forms were all mailed from California, so they just haven't arrived yet. Or the UK office is late in getting them out. Does anyone in the UK have experience with the UK version of those documents?

frankp01 not received anything yet from the UK but we only paid our balance on Saturday 6th, a lot of the protocol information is on the website. I wonder if this is a USA contract?

  5. seen this from 2 sources and both say Brooklyn, lets hope that is correct. Just need to know what the rules will be for us to get off the ship to explore alone

  7. On the gov.uk website it states that if you are on a cruise less than 19 days you can submit the form before sailing. The only issue is you need a reference number for your LFT to put on the form so should be able to sort this and enter on the form. You can submit on the morning of disembarkation using your phone package.

Seem to remember at present MDR  first sitting was made earlier to 5:30 and 2nd was from 7pm.  Previously on Cunard it was 6pm and 8:30 pm. Have always gone first sitting as found 8:30 too late for me having tried it.

however 5: 30 is too early ! Are the various cruises that are  starting up after the Sun cruises end likely to revert back to the original times or not ?

We are booked for January for  first sitting but if it’s 5:30 will change it I think - after all can’t miss afternoon tea 😁

can’t see anything in My Cunard about it either.

    Any thoughts ? Thank you

This is off the Cunard site

this is my exact concern. i just spent twenty minutes on hold with cunard. will try again later or tomorrow. i would hate to be in NYC and not be free to explore. the email mentioned excursions but was vague and implied we will not know until November.

Just read the email from Cunard and it states the below

You will now have an extended time in New York, with the ship arriving on 20 December 2021, staying berthed overnight on 20 and 21 December. Whilst there, we'll be offering a full programme of organised and vetted shore experiences allowing you the opportunity to explore the city. In addition, we are hopeful that come November it will also be possible to go ashore independently. Following these two additional nights in New York, your itinerary will continue as scheduled, departing for the Caribbean on 22 December.

  10. I have checked My Cunard and the extra days are on there, it says updating shore excursions so hopefully we can get off it is for ships inspections

Please bear with us while we add the final touches to your shore experiences.

Our team of destination experts is currently finalising the shore experiences for this destination, so you can enjoy the very latest and best options available in this port. Please check back with us soon for availability.
