    The nighttime sail away from Miami is definitely beautiful! We luckily had a 10pm sail away in May.

    MSC is very laid back - you can dress as you wish. Even on Gala Night I saw a man in cargo shorts and a t-shirt in the MDR. Hubby and I dressed up (long dress and suit).

    Perhaps a good thing for you would be the hop on/hop off bus. You can get a one or two day pass. It's a great way to see Miami!

    Little Havana and Wynwood Walls are definitely worth exploring. We also did South Beach.

    Go from Weehaken to Midtown, then get to Pier 11 and take the water ferry to Red hook.

    Last year we sailed out of Manhattan and returned the day of the marathon. It wasn't nearly as bad as I had anticipated.

    I was just devastated reading about Ted, but I am happy to see this update. It's true...it feels like Ted is a friend to all us us because you do such a great job with your live blogs. I'm so glad he is out of the hospital.

    Yes, I have the Rome2Rio app and it indicates this is possible. Am I being mislead? 😆

    Ah, I missed the shuttle part! No it isn’t. We plan on using the water taxi system. 😀

    Hi! We're also from Canada (Ottawa). There are no park & cruise hotels in Brooklyn, but there are several in NJ. We are staying at the SureStay by Best Western for our December cruise. One night with 8 nights of parking was about $300.

    I understand everything is subjective, but were you purposely looking for items to photograph and criticize? I didn't notice any of this on my April 29th sailing. I actually said it was the most beautiful ship I had sailed on.

    I asked about this on my April 29th sailing and they wouldn’t do it. Even after I tipped $5 for two blueberry lavender drinks that were covered.

    For those asking when upgrade bids go out, we are 75 days from sailing and we received the e-mail last Thursday. We have not yet completed the online check in.
