We are on 12/18, I say Bravo to masks inside and I am one who is not fond of masks because of vision issues but Bravo again to WS. Keeping us safe. Happy Sailing

@Strenz We will be on Windsurf right after you. Please report while on board!

  2. Thank you, @cruiseaholic78 I agree that the balcony is a deficit, along with the small bathroom. That weighed heavily on me. On the positive side--I love rocking at sea, and the location, one deck above the hydrotherapy pool and one deck below the Observation deck and coffee were real clinchers for me. So I booked with the proviso that if a fab deal comes along for an upgrade to a SA, we will move.  🙂

  3. Anyone stayed in this suite, the one(s) on Panorama deck at the front? There are only two -- Category SU. Need help deciding. Pros, cons. Description, amenities, proximity to food, quietness, etc. I know the balcony is smaller and is metal, but I've always wanted to stay in a cabin at the front of a ship. 😉

    Any advice appreciated.

  4. @babr Wow. Thanks! Just a question or two, tho. How was the location? Privacy factor?  Were the captain and crew peering in at you every time you came in and out of the cabin? Noisy? Cramped? Was the bathroom small with shower only or was there a tub? And you said closet was minuscule?

  5. We ended up booking 16026, the last cabin on starboard side on Deck 16, Topsail Lounge deck.  Absolutely loved it! No pole on the balcony, btw.  Almost always had The perfect docking/tender side lookout. There was also a somewhat private single glass door across the hall from us that led out to the main ship’s elevators so that we didn’t have to go in past the concierge desk. I would book this room in a heartbeat again, except for the fact that it seems to be reserved only for parties of three people. So we booked 18018 for next year...again, end of the hallway on Starboard side, restaurant deck.

  6. 1st Timer here on MSC. We were given an embarkation time of 4:15pm on our upcoming cruise on Mareviglia out of Miami. We are in Yacht Club. This seems awfully late. The ship leaves at 7, and we need time to explore. Do they allow earlier embarkation times?  Thanx.

  7. I just received an upgrade offer to bid for a Royal Suite on our upcoming Mereviglia cruise--we are currently in a YC cabin and the bid starts at $1695 pp. Is this worth it? We are three in the YC cabin currently, so the extra space would be helpful...but... Advice?  Is the Royal Suite "all that and a bucket of bananas" 😉 ?    Thanx.

We just received an email this morning from MSC about bidding for an upgrade to a Yacht Club Royal Suite.  We have a Yacht Club Deluxe Suite booked on the Meraviglia March 8th.  The minimum bid starts at $1,675 pp, $3,350 for the two of us.  For folks that can afford the extra $$, go for it.  Not sure how high the bidding will go to "win" the upgrade?

@eagletwoQUESTION: Did you "go" for it? I just received the same bid this morning and am debating. The cost is ...well... high and am weighing if worth the price since there will be three of us in the cabin (allows for more privacy)...but....  ???

  9. Looking at all options for YC cabin selection on the Meraviglia: please help! Deck 18 is topmost (will the restaurant traffic be noisy?); Deck 16 is steps from the Topsail Lounge; Deck 15 has cabins at the front of the ship. On the sailing we are choosing, appears all options are open!

  10. About ready to book on the Maraviglia--Yacht Club--and am looking at Deck 16 for easy access to the Topsail Lounge. Is this a good choice? And should we grab the first cabins (16001, 160002, 160003) closest to the doors into the Topsail, or the end cabins (160019, 160020) closest to the exit doors?  Or a cabin in the middle?  Appreciate any insight. Thanx!
