  1. We are looking to do water sports (jet ski or wave runner) Which beach would be better? Also, how much is a cab to the beach from the port?

We rented jet ski’s at Eagle Beach, it was $65 per 1/2hr or $85 for two people on one (we opted for two jet ski’s). They let us run around for about an hour before they chased us down with a speed boat. We ran full throttle with boundaries about two miles wide, it was a blast. Taxi is a fixed rate and no more than five people, probably under $20 each way.

  2. Your TomTom will only work if you purchase and upload an Aruba map. Your cell phone will work, you should purchase an international plan or buy a SIM card from Digicell or Setar, they sell them at the airport. You should purchase a Borch map of Aruba, you can get it at Amazon

  3. Is it true that Eagle beaches sulf can be a lot rougher than Palm Beach. Looking for an easy access into the water and calm Caribbean type water. Trying to avoid rough surf and undertow. Would love a beach where we can just float on a raft.

Not true, both are next to each other on the leeward side of the island. Unless there is a storm offshore bringing in some swells, it’s usually calm.

  4. . I have fished several times when on land based vacations in Aruba with one of the boats docked on Palm beach in front of the Marioitt .Short trip to fishing ground and caught a few Wahoo each trip Can't remember the name of the boat.

On 2/7/19 we will be in Aruba as as port of call from 8am to 4pm and considering a 4hr charter. Think it may be better to go on one of the boats near the cruise dock . So I will be following this thread to see what people have for advise.

Try Driftwoood, they are in the Marina by the port.

  5. Try Rancho Loco, they go to Boca Ketu and Conchi/Natural Pool. We have never used them but have seen their tours numerous times. Always a guide in front and back, it’s rough terrain where they go so it is all single file.

  6. Reserve in advance, they meet you at the port, you return it to their office and they shuttle you back to the port. Try Royal, also you may want to consider a jeep.

  7. You'll have a perfect view from the starboard side of you ship and all the beaches from that side of the island.

  8. Hi Cruisers! On May 31 someone left behind a camera- ( and more) aboard the afternoon cruise on the Jolly Pirates in Aruba. The Zenith and Adventure of the Seas was in our port on May 31.

In an effort to find the owner I took a peek at the lovely photos and imo this is a cruise ship guest with photos from the JP and Panama - perhaps. Would be great if one of you might rec ur friends in these photos.

(tried to upload photos and they will not upload unfortunately.

I don't want to break any of your rules here- simply trying to return a bag with someone's personal effects - feel free to reach out. My name is Carla

    Hi Carla,

I take it your a local. I found a gold wedding band at Conchi the day after Kings Day and would like to reunite it with its rightful owner. Carnival Vista was in that day but this might belong to a local.
