  1. I'm curious about this tour. Do they set you up with a guide? We have no interest in going to the natural pool, but would like to venture around. We've done jeep tours through ABC and Depalm.

Yep, you have a private tour guide. They can take you to the bottom of the cliff so you don't have to climb all the steps to the Natural Pool but you can pick wherever you want to go. It's not cheap.

  2. Taxi or rental car, it's about 15 miles or 30 minutes from port. Great place for the little ones. The taxi's in Aruba take a max of 5 passengers and it is a fixed price.

  3. I love and really look forward/trust the reviews on CC. We will be in Aruba overnight in March. I'd love a simple restaurant close to port. Is Iguana Joe's a good place to just sit, talk, have a local beer and watch the water/sunset. We aren't looking for foo foo because we're on a cruise ship, but are looking forward to fresh fish and local beer. Our son is a veggie and I've looked at the menu. I'm just asking for a plus from CC members that this is a good laid back, fun place. By the end of our first day we won't want to be far from the ship. Thank you for any help.

I'm thinking the couple buildings across the street and your ship will block the sunset but it is very close to your ship.

  4. Arashi Beach. Is it hard to get a cab back to the port from? We will be there on a Sunday. Is the snorkeling easily reached from the beach?

Snorkeling is easily reached from the beach, it starts at 20' out. Head south towards Boca Catilina. I can't help you on the taxi part but if the concession stand is open Sunday, they'll call one for you if you ask nicely.

  5. Aruba Golf Club is closed and from the looks of it, it's been closed a long time. The only options are Divi Links and Tierra Del Sol, its expensive and a little sun burnt but the grounds hard so you get a lot of roll.

  6. Yum!! I wish I was there right now! We have a long wait until we are back on the island. Have you tried the Pastechi House downtown? Weve been meaning too. My favorite ones are the fresh ones at Bright Bakery. Oh wait, I see Bright written on your pastechi.

Haven't been to Pastechi House but tried Don Pastechi, they were ok but we're spoiled after having Bright and they now stamp theirs with their name. We also love the Gouda cheese, we brought 10 mini 400 gram wheels back, we load up when Super Foods has a sale. We go back in 74 days.
