  1. Royal does one day rentals and they'll meet you at the port. Go for it.

  2. First one is Saint Nicholas, long way from the port unless your going to Baby Beach.

Second one is downtown by the port, take a right at the main road and it's 3 blocks down on your left, great place for pictures.

  3. We usually go in at Catalina Cove and snorkel to Arashi and back to Boca Catalina. They are all a block apart. The water is between 5 and 15 feet deep at 200yds out. We have never encountered current and it is usually calm as the wind blows offshore most of the time. You can also walk it on the sidewalk. A very safe place to snorkel, as for your map, we never went north as they are showing.

  4. Sorry upfront if this has been discussed but I'm scrolling quickly as the thread seems to have shifted to a discussion on pricing.

Anyone have thoughts about the Breakaway leaving port on this coming Sunday Oct 16?

Obviously, I hope the best for the people in Bermuda and their property, but I also hope that it isn't damaged to the extent that we also get diverted because of recovery efforts. Terribly selfish, I know, but really hoping to enjoy this visit to Bermuda. Can't go in May-June as this is our 30 yr Anniversary.

As you write this, the eye of a cat4 hurricane is 55 miles away and bearing down on them with lots of devastation to follow. I would say it's a safe bet to say that the government of Bermuda is not going to welcome 4000 cruise ship passengers a week later in the midsts of their cleanup and repairs.

  5. Get a jeep, go to the park and go to the end by Boca Prins, there's two caves by there. On your way back take a right at the visitor center and follow the signs to Conchi, that is the Natural Pool on your way out of the park ask the Ranger at the gate how to get to the Natural Bridge after the bridge follow the coast/off road and you'll hit the Gold ruins, Baby Nat Bridge, Alto Vista, California Lighthouse and then you'll end up at Arashi Beach. The local are very friendly, so if you think you are lost, ask them as they will gladly give you directions but your never really lost in Aruba.

  6. A lot of the rental places will pick you up at the port and drop you back off at the port after you drop the car off at their office. Aruba is an easy place to drive, same as US with a bunch of roundabouts. You also may want to consider a jeep.

  7. I have the DOS on the Jade and are really questioning if this cabin is worth all I am paying for it. Not sure if it is worth the cost for the DOS on one of the away ships and the Haven on this class ship. Would you just downgrade to an SC 2 bedroom and still get the suite perks but no Haven access? Family of 4 on an Easter cruise so it may be crowded at the main pool area. Just looking for some opinions as the savings will be about $4k which could buy me another cruise. Opinions please?

You have your own private floor, no one else is on 15. Only you can decide if that is worth the 4K for and access to the Haven.
