I have only had the pleasure of eating 1 lobster roll.  But, I could have sworn it was just butter and lobster!

Lobster Roll with Mayo is a Regular Lobster Roll

    Hi John,

Welshred on with you reported on our thread for tomorrow. So sorry to hear of this. Hope you are not too late tomorrow. But priorities come first. Passenger #1 comes first.

Pls keep us informed of your progress. You will be the #2 On Board Reporter to us....

I have only ever seen such dancing when the professional dancer is paid by a lady to have an hour's social dancing 'practice' in the evening, but not as a 'lesson'.  There would appear to be no good reason to prohibit that, but no doubt others will post whether they see this as continuing on other voyages. It would be a shame if this can't continue as any reasonable minded person could not really find a reason to ban it. It gives ladies (and in principle men too) the chance to dance for an extended period with a real expert partner.

    Hi ballroom-cruisers,

    Enjoy your posts.

I thought the paid dancers gave lessons after the noon time free lessons in the Qx Rm I've seen on the Daily Programme ? Hope all works out. Cruising and dancing should be the priority and ill feels be put aside. The word should ENJOY the good times.

Yes I knew that you will be visiting. Great to have you in our city. I did a few private tours on prior visits with guests. As you know it’s a holiday weekend here and a Sunday so the city will be a quiet one. The  weather is hard to predict but it has literally rained for the past days and the next two aren’t looking better so we will keep our fingers crossed for Saturday and Sunday

    jdavid,

We always look forward to visiting Halifax. Actually we just heard from on board a passenger is ill and QM2 is heading to you to take the passenger off. ? the time she will arrive. Just heard. This will make her late possibly announced the Captain coming to Brooklyn tomorrow. So we have to see how all works out.

    Our thread..

But aside, we love Halifax. And was looking forward to walking and seeing the Public Gardens, Walk the Town, Maybe the Maritime M. We love lunch at Salty's our tradition. Hope we get to do this.

Are are expected to be there 8 to 8 on Sunday.

    Thank you for your response...

    I live in Halifax.

I live in Halifax. There have been no fires in Nova Scotia for weeks. Quite the opposite, it has been raining with fog for days and I don’t see any sun in the forecast for a week.

    Hi jdavid,

We are heading up to you on Friday on the QM2. These were questions CC'ers were asking. I saw same weather here about Halifax. Our arrival is Sunday....

The TickerFactory site is new to me. I've just been taking a look at it myself.

Don't copy the "BBCode" or the "HTML code". Copy the "Ticker Web Address" instead as @BklynBoy8 advised. That's a URL to an image that can be pasted into your signature. That should work better for you.

    John,

Thank you. I like the variety of choices to chose from. Like the one for this sailing for the 4th.

And the point to point for future Caribbean. I am upset they use to have a Liner and Cruise Ship but no more image like that.

We won't be sailing until October...so would love to hear your feedback. Hopefully this will all be under control before we sail.

According to the News, we in the Big Apple getting it tomorrow Thursday pretty bad. Chicago has it BAD today and it's marching to us. We will be sailing on the QM2 on Friday and then it's returning Saturday long gone.

But we will be in Halifax on Sunday so we will see. I don't think we will feel it on in the Ocean especially going at a pretty good clip.

But will see what we can report.

I am wondering if the wildfires are having any effect on the ports in St Johns and Halifax. Does anyone have any insight? Whether I go or not I am sending prayers out to our Canadian neighbors.

We are sailing on Friday up there and be at HALIFAX on Sunday.

    Interested in this information also.

Which format do you save to add here?

Go thru the process of filling out to the final page

and press Copy under Ticker Web Address to capture link

    Paste link below the Signature

And you should see it Display before Saving

Upthread.  The notices on tables in Celebrity buffets.

But do we really need a rule about observing basic courtesy and consideration?  Those big groups know:

    1) those tables are provided for people to eat at,

    2) that they see people wandering about with trays of food looking for a place to sit and eat at the tables provided for that purpose,

    3) that there are OTHER places on the ship that are provided for the playing of games.

They are just being inconsiderate and discourteous, and it has nothing to do with enjoying their vacation.  At its core this is no different than chair-hogging by the pool.

Heck, when my family and I are eating at a crowded restaurant we always vacate right after we finish because we can see that people are waiting to be seated.  Now if the restaurant is half empty we might sit for a while, but not when people are waiting.

    Ditto......

BTW.....don't get started about Chair Hogging. That can be and has been threads on Cruise Critics in the past. I think certain Hogging is expected while cruising by passengers that may leave courtesy home with them.

But, please make the best of any vacations you book!

Onboard on this TA and there was announcement of medical emergency and indeed waiting for emergency vessel. No helicopter.
I believe I saw the person with the emergency and she seemed to be suffering from heatstroke after sailaway. It was very warm and sunny leaving Friday. She was certainly in distress.
No word on passenger condition and no delay in trip.

    John,

Was watching it on Marine Traffic.....RFLI took them of near Fawley I believe....

    Safe traveling....

On our current TA, we had a packed 5:15 World Club reception in Queens Room. It was announced that about 735 pax on board (100% capacity) were in World Club.
One couple had spent 8+ years on various Cunard ships over the decades.

    Thank you John...
