Interesting. I'd Googled for it in the UK,as I'd not heard of it before,  and got no hits at all. And checked three local kosher bakeries, thinking they would be the most likely, but nothing there either.  Makes me wonder that, as your daughter has eaten them here, some places might be actually producing bialy but selling them as bagel,as that's a name known here.

Not that I noticed, the one set up in front of the Golden Lion was only interested in selling drinks packages.

When I asked about ordering wine for dinner he didn't direct me elsewhere, just told me to order from the sommelier in the dining room. 🤦‍♀️

I gave up at that point.

    Sorry but enjoy your sailing..

    Belated Bon Voyage !

Does QM2 have a good selection of Tea Forte sachets?  When we were onboard last summer they had only one flavor for the first14 days of our cruise, and for the last 7 days they added on herbal tea.  If they don't have jasmine, mango peach, or white ambrosia I'll have to bring my own tea.

Last September we only had herbal beside English Afternoon or Earl Grey in PG.

My old time favorite is Darjeeling......

    Sure.
Actually, I don’t mind one day of rough and tumble to be amazed how QM2 handles it all.

Best for your voyage too - no smoke from Canadian fires!

    Thank you....

If permissible, have a drink on me - Bon Voyage - May The Wind Be At Your Back - Smooth Sailing....

Both @BklynBoy8and I (former Brooklyn resident and there often) have referred others to look at the Marriott Brooklyn Bridge for your overnight stay. Check it out.

It's a straight shot down Court Street to Hamilton to the Terminal Entrance. Or the BQE, 2 exits to Hamilton to the Terminal.

Personal choice of where to stay.

This is IMHO....I would stay in Brooklyn where the Terminal is instead of crossing from Manhattan.

  10. We did this type of cruise on the QE2 in the past and it was the best over our transitioning the Panama Canal sailing.

Walking on a and near a Glacier was great. And going that close to the Artic Circle WOW.

  11. We did go to the Public Gardens in the past. \

First time we walked after the shuttle dropped us off by Quincy Market. It gave us time to see the sights like the downtown area, Boston Commons and onto the Public Gardens. But we took a break finding a restaurant to eat before heading back by feet to the Market.

The second time we walked again but did take a taxi back to the Market. We are not aware of the bus and train lines.

Best to take taxi back before rush hour. The Public Gardens are beautiful to view especially the internal lake with the Swan Boats.

  12. Jennifer,

    First BON VOYAGE....

From past experience, the Ferry to St John's Cruz Bay departs from Red Hook the most Eastern part of St Thomas.

It's is about 29 minutes - 9 miles ride from the Central St Thomas and you will need to take a taxi to Red Hook. There the ferries cross over to Cruz Bay, St John.

But there is also Megan's Bay Beach still on St Thomas Island on the North Coast. Pls Google it.

Are the Ports of Saguernay, Sydney and Shelburne walkable to the town? Thank you in advance for any info.

We did the QM2 14 days last September and only went to one of the three.

We did not go to Shelburne as it was not on the sailing. Sydney we could not land since the hurricane was ahead of us and caused a lot of destruction and we could not land by orders of the authorities. So we stayed at sea for an extra day.

We did visit Saguenay but since our size being on the QM2, we tendered with another ship was tied up pierside. We did about a hour walk thru the town which started right off the pier. Cute shops of many handmade items. Since the two ships were in, the town was holding a type Street and Park Fair.

BTW.....we did not take any excursions to experience the town.

  14.

On Our Last September 23rd to October 7th Sailing the Showtimes were 8PM and 10PM.

I believe they gauge the end of the Showtime to coincide with activities in the Queens Room. We have personally seen passengers exiting the Royal Court and heading to the Queen Room. Also there are activities in the Chart Room and Golden Lion Pub.
