Having done this several times in the past couple years I’d say it worked well, no issues and the ship said there was no need to give them more than a couple days notice. Last time was October 2022 where I got off 2 days early in Poland as the airports in London were having issues and flights back to the states were much more expensive. I followed guest services advice and it worked perfectly. Having done route sector deviations in the past I wouldn’t bother for Europe in the future.
Princess shoreside/off the ship will make it complicated once you are on the ship let guest services know you plan to disembark early. Give them a minimum of two days notice. Guest services told me that you can disembark without telling them unless you want to rejoin the ship at a later port. Very easy to do in Europe but don’t try this on a ship that has port stops in the US.
The room service used to be the ones to contact to swap out the mini bar, more recently it’s been the cabin stewards and most recently a mix between the two. I’ve been on 4 day cruises and up to 20 day cruises this year as recently as June 7th and never had an issue switching out the mini bar.
I’m on the Discovery Princess and like an occasional Root Beer which only comes in cans on the ship. When asked a server reported that cans are now also complementary on the Princess Plus/ Premier plans. It appears the written policy has not caught up to this recent change.
I buy when it’s much lower than typical and set a limit order when it bounces up .50/$1. Haven’t lost yet except for selling too soon and could have made $100’s more by holding for a month instead of only $100. Even today it’s bounced around .50.
So how are ships going to Hawaii RT from SF/LA with just a stop in Ensenada if your information is accurate. I know Canada is not considered a distant foreign port.
Yes that is accurate, however if they looked at the whole journey including the stop in Mexico it should be ok, but they won’t get past the 2nd leg Vancouver to SF because initial cruise embarks in Seattle.
