The happened to 2 people on my last cruise from Galveston. Not a Carnival cruise. The 2 parties were not together and the port staff (who work for the port and not the cruise lines) were VERY unhelpful and rude. One of the people finally had the employees contact port security even though they didn’t want to. One of the bags had an Air Tag in it and they could see it moving. They security was able to see where the bag ended up (locally) and matched it with unclaimed luggage in the terminal. An elderly couple picked up the wrong luggage and didn’t verify the tags. Ended up bringing the bags back to the port.
Hopefully it is something equally innocent with your bag and when the person realizes they will contact the port. There should be a lost and found I would think. I would also contact Carnival do they will know about the port employees lack of help even if they don’t work for them.

I know your heading out but we are going to be in Mahagony Bay on the 24th on Paradise. Have you and Patti done Infinty Bay Resort All-inclusive with local group or the All-Inclusive Private Beach Experience through Carnival? Or what would you suggest?
We were supposed to be in Mahagony Bay on 4/5 on the Princess Ruby but missed the port due to wind. We were just going to hang out on the beach but several on our roll call or other social media groups were contacted by their all inclusive before our scheduled stop saying their reservations were being cancelled due to the sargassum. Just something you might want to check with any places you are considering. Since we didn’t make the port I have no first hand experience to share.

Loved reading your thoughts. We were on the cruise the week before you. We met several people who fit into your group of “didn’t care about the 80s” who were staying onboard for your cruise and the Panama Canal cruise after yours. I wonder if there would be fewer non-80s fans on a cruise that wasn’t the week before something special like the PC transit?

We passed Six Flags! That means we’re an hour away!
Did you know that Six Flags meaning behind the name, is actually about Texas? It’s the six flags of the six countries that once controlled Texas. It’s “Six Flags” over Texas!
1 - The Kingdom of Spain 🇪🇸2 - The Kingdom of France 🇫🇷
3 - The Republic of Mexico 🇲🇽
4 - The Republic of Texas
5 - The Confederate States of America
Yes!!! And the original Six Flags park in Arlington, TX had each of those sections. Even the rides and shows were themed. Now that is all but gone…it’s just another park with rides.

You need to ignore some people on these boards. I love Stanley Bears, too.
I do understand that all too well😉. I just wanted to answer if it was a genuine question.

Exactly. Why?
Why do I want to find a Stanley to buy or were you asking someone else?

Stanley Bear: Nice
Padgett Panda: dumb
I noticed Stanley was available for purchase on the personalizer.
I saw it before my cruise but I do not see anywhere I can buy one without having a cruise booked.

I am not sure but I did pre-purchase via the app/site. Lots on eBay!
I wish I had pre-ordered. Just never occurred to me they’d sell out. They really didn’t have much branded merchandise. A few things but much less than I’m used to in other lines. We thought it might be because they are repositioning to start Alaska season next week so probably getting different items for that. I did see many on eBay, mercari, poshnark, etc but was hoping to be able to buy new. May just have to wait for another Princess cruise. I’m sure we will book again.

I just returned from my first Princess cruise on the Ruby (which I really enjoyed). I had planned to buy a Stanley onboard but when I went to the shop on day 2 or 3 they were already sold out. Since returning home I have looked online but cannot find where to purchase one other than eBay or other resale sites. Am I just missing something or can I really only buy him onboard?

That’s interesting because I was thinking this afternoon that I hadn’t see nearly as much today as I did the last couple of days🤷🏼♀️. Oh, and we are also going to Chacchoben tomorrow.

This is slightly related to the topic at hand, but I'm hoping anyone can offer some insight, since I've never done it pre-cruise:
Will updating the mobile app affect (read: delete/remove/modify) what you've already done on the app? (e.g. check-in info, dining reservations, medallion checkout, etc.) Clearly, I've pretty wary over Princess's IT incompetence so I just wanted to verify. Thanks for the assistance!
I did the update this morning and verified all my reservations, etc were still there after.

@TxTeach79 I forgot to ask when you were at Mahogany Bay did you have any trouble with sand fleas? Did you use any repellant? I’ve been reading mixed reviews on this issue and it’s been many years since we were there

For use in Europe last year I used the AT&T International Day Pass. It worked great in Lisbon. https://www.att.com/international/day-pass/

@lennythenose not unless you just want them. Completely sand. It’s esentially cordoned off, and other than some patches of seaweed further out it was all sand
Perfect!! I’ll be there in a couple of weeks. I’ll probably have my water shoes just in case but never know about hubby🙂.

It's pretty sandy last time I was there
I think you are there on the Ruby at the same time I am in April aren’t you? Or sm I confusing you with someone else?

So when you walk out into the water, it starts very shallow, briefly drops to about 4 - 5 feet deep, then gets shallow again all the way out to the barrier
Do you recommend water shoes? I can’t remember the entrance at Mahogany Bay.

listen, @Jamman54 is a big deal around here…. If you wanna see how a couple can do a solid cruise review, go check out his fine workTruth!!
But you are doing a great job and I enjoy your reviews both solo and with B. Hubby and I are very boring cruisers but love every minute of doing nothing😂. I really appreciate reading all the different reviewer styles and cruising vicariously.

So obviously your sister knows you’re onboard now. Beautiful necklace and even more beautiful meaning. How did she find out you are there?
