  1. Very exciting! This will be our first river cruise, too, so I would be really interested to read your thoughts on it once you’ve completed your cruise. We don’t go until October. I agree with @Kenster. Traveling through ZRH is a breeze and a pleasure. Very clean and very well organized.
  2. If you read the numerous “poor internet” and “Live” threads over on the Princess board you would see how terrible it really is. We had zero internet for our entire trip on the Sky and the Medallion app didn’t work. At all. Even those interactive displays around the ship weren’t working. If I were relying on internet during a cruise, Princess would be the last line I would be sailing.
  3. Wow. I would contact Princess and ask to speak with her Supervisor.
  4. Well, my first Princess “Live” thread has begun closer to the end of the trip, rather than the beginning, but better late than never. We received notice a few days before sailing that we wouldn’t have internet so it was no surprise when it didn’t work. Princess is obviously well aware of the problem but I don’t actually buy their story as we have not experienced outages like this on Holland America TA’s. Boarding was congested and chaotic. Even though we arrived at our specified check-in time of 12:30pm, the lines from the inside to the outside were HUGE. We laughed at the signs to maintain social distancing; impossible as we were herded via two snaking lines through various checkpoints. As this is my first Princess cruise I have no idea if this is typical or not but, man, was it crazy. First checkpoint was passports and covid tests; then through Security; then actual check-in where we showed passports, vaccination documents, and covid tests; then to pick up Medallions. Per Princess policy, we each brought a corkage-free bottle of wine onboard. Despite that, we were also sent to the person at the pay-for-corkage desk where he glanced at the wine, then at us, then told to proceed. Lots of people in the terminal to direct us onboard but where we entered the ship by the Casino on Deck 5.… no one. We looked around in confusion, expecting someone to help with directions but not a soul around. We wandered a bit until we found some elevators and made it to our rooms. After all the travel hurdles we were happy to be on the ship.
