  1. I went into my booking for our first MSC sailing (Seaside) later this month and entered (re-entered?) my address and a couple of other things. Each time it generated an updated confirmation via email. I've heard that some people have had issues with MSC changing the price of their bookings out of the blue (usually when changes are made to other reservations), so I just wanted to keep an eye on my sailings for next year. So, I went in to view my booking and can't find where it shows the fare for our cruise - only links to add dining/packages/etc (which usually don't work anyway). With other cruise lines, the info is pretty easy to view. Am I missing something? THANKS, Tom
  2. In keeping with the inconsistency issues, in my booking for our Seaside cruise later this month it includes the following under the YC benefits: Premium Extra Drink Package (includes all drinks up to 13 in all ship areas) I'm not sure what "13" is, but even if it's Euros, that only means something like $14. Oh well ! Tom
  3. I went to the MSC website and found this (not that it means that's the reality onboard). And.... SORRY... I meant to originally ask about the DRINK package (details, details, lol) What drink package is included in the Yacht Club Experience? The Premium Extra Package is included for all cruises booked with the Yacht Club. Tom
  4. With whatever package they give you with YC bookings, is that the top package on the ship? Tom
  5. It's not like we can do controlled studies to compare the effectiveness of different types of safety drills. Perhaps they can offer both. If they think that the "old" version is superior, just offer free drinks for anyone who attends... it will henceforth be known as the MUSTER PARTY 🙂 Tom
  6. In the corner of my eye, as I was reading - I picked up "I will bet a dime bag"... Tom
  7. I would think that bandwidth demands would be a drop in the bucket given the improvements on most ships. Tom
  8. I tried to get the discount for a Royal Suite, and was told that you get nothing at the "YC3" level (I guess that's a RS?). Not fair, IMO, but it's their ballgame... 😞 Tom
  9. I see that, post COVID, they're back up on Princess (can't say if/how long they were down over there to begin with), but Carnival apparently still has not flipped the switch. Could someone do me a favor and ask John (if he hasn't addressed this already) what the dealio is? 🙂 Tom
  10. It will happen, mark my word... just not on our timeline (edited to be more accurate!) Probably long before whirled peas. In the meantime, let's all just get along (big hug) 🙂 Tom
  11. That's impressive ! This has likely been addressed already, but can OBC be utilized for gratuities ? Tom
  12. Well ... with only $100 + (perhaps another) $100 OBC, it's not like that won't be easy to spend on a meal/bottle of wine. That would get me nowhere in the casino anyway. 🙂 Tom
  13. We've had OBC a few dozen times (different sources - and other lines), and have been able to use it on anything. Perhaps I've just been lucky - or maybe this is more a HAL thing? Tom
  14. Funny, I've never seen that posted at any casino (but, I don't read a lot of fine print notices either). Tom
  15. For smokers -- isn't there generally a lot of unused space on the lifeboats? Very underutilized!!! (just having some fun here) 😉 Tom
  16. Thanks, sorry to hear that. That corkage fee ends up costing more than most of the bottles that I'd bring on board! I had asked elsewhere regarding wine purchased in the specialty restaurants, they don't have any type of discounts for bottles similar to that which carnival has? On Carnival, on the first two nights, you can get 50% off bottles of wine. That's a big deal if you're looking at bottles in the $100-200 range.
  17. Speaking of wine - does HAL permit you to bring on two bottles for consumption in your cabin (w/o charge or corkage fee)? Tom
  18. We received the same response last week. I asked my PCC if he could see it anywhere and this is what he sent me: Tom
  19. I've had the pleasure probably a half dozen times. Statistically, it's unlikely - but I still anticipate it (even where there's NOTHING off-limits in my bags). Tom
  20. My approach as well... which always has me anxiously waiting for our luggage to arrive. If it's not to our cabin by sail away (it's supposed to be "priority", for whatever little that's worth), then I figure they think they've found something, and I'll be making "the trip". At least this way I can be there when it's being plundered. It's interesting to see all the stuff sitting on the tables - there's some ballsy people out there! Tom
  21. Thanks Jim - I figured that out nearly a year ago, LOL. 🙂 Tom
  22. I had assumed they were - I'm guessing there's a small sign somewhere indicating the cost of the various items? Tom
