  1. I think it’s all about expectations. I’m not expecting bells and whistles with Enchantment. I am looking forward to the centrum, dining room, windjammer, and some of the other entertainment venues, but I definitely do not have high expectations. I sailed Grandeur a few years ago and it was a nice ship out of Baltimore.
  2. interesting! I thought both ships were very similar? We sailed on Grandeur 4 years ago out of Baltimore. It was a nice ship for our Bermuda cruise. I also noticed Enchantment is 10,000 more tons? I thought they were very similar ships.
  3. Are you providing proof of the vaccines when you begin the check in process (30-45 days out) or should that be done before? We are at the 60 day mark and I haven’t provided anything yet. Thank you!
  4. Thank you. My brother has his own cabin reservation, but we are linked. Are we able to check in/choose times for each other? From what I am reading, it is possible to choose a check in time 45 days out after midnight, but there have been some glitches. It’s been 3 years since we cruised so I’ll need to catch up on the tips and tricks. Thanks again!
  5. we are sailing EOS in two months. We chose it for convenience and ports, not for the ship itself. I love the bigger ships, but I have been on GOS, the sister ship to Enchantment. I'm looking forward to the cruise. I'm following along!
  6. We always book through the cruise planner. The tip is included and you will gratuities added when you go to check out. There is no option to remove it. We have tipped more if we felt it was warranted.
  7. Did y’all check in through the website or through the app? Thanks!
  8. I remember asking our cabin steward a couple of times when they have left envelopes if they knew we prepaid gratuities. They knew, but they put out envelopes to tip others or you can add to the basic gratuities. Often times we get excellent service somewhere and we will use the extra envelopes. If you feel they provided a basic service, you don't need to tip more. If you feel they took care of any needs you had that were above and beyond, use the envelope.
  9. Okay, I saw a thread last week about delays and that's why I dug the thread up again. I'll check 45 days out just in case it's available for Enchantment. Thanks!
  10. I am digging this up...are folks still finding they are able to choose check-in/arrival times 45 days before their cruise? We have changed sailings and will now be sailing on Enchantment of the Seas in August.
  11. I thought I remember seeing somewhere that even though the email tells you 30 days ahead, you can actually choose your check in time 45 days before. Is that correct or am I not remembering that correctly?
  12. Is the boardwalk and museum within walking distance of the pier where ships dock? Thanks!
  13. Oh! Ok, thank you for that. I was thinking DeltaBlue was a CD LOL! I am not familiar with Bobby Broughton, but then again we haven’t cruised in 2 1/2 years. Thanks again!
  14. I will be on Enchantment on Aug. 11. Who will that be? I’m sorry I don’t know who #Me is 🙂
  15. Okay, thank you again 🙂 I would want the rapid antigen test since it's needed 1-2 days before the cruise. We are doing the New England/Canada cruise. Thanks again!
  16. Thanks for explaining it to me 🙂. It was recommended I test again a month before the cruise. I plan on just doing the rapid test…I’m thinking that’s the antigen test?
  17. I just found this thread. I tested positive two weeks ago and I no longer have symptoms (a few days ago), but my cruise isn’t until mid August. Is there a possibility i can still test positive? Is the Certificate of Recovery what I need to be able to board? I have my vaccination and booster record too.
  18. Thank you both. I always overthink things. Monica, thanks for the picture! That pretty much confirms it. Merion Mom, thanks for confirming too.
  19. Hmmm if I understand deck plans the outdoor deck is above the ocean view cabins. There wouldn’t be any casino noise from an ocean view cabin. Can anyone confirm that?
  20. We recently moved from Deck 2 OV cabins to Deck 4 OV cabins for our summer trip on Enchantment of the Seas. We booked cabins 4058 and 4046. I read on a cruise advice page that these may not be the best cabins. We are not night owls LOL. We are usually in our cabins between 11 and midnight. We wanted to be a little closer to the action but we were far enough away from the centrum. Can anyone share their feedback on Deck 4 cabins on this ship or similar ships in this class?
  21. We are going on our first cruise since arrival times have been required and followed. Can someone tell me how the process works? Do we go into our cruise details and set an arrival time or does RC do that? This is for our Alaska cruise on Quantum of the Seas. Thanks in advance!
