We just came back from Fiji. We just had to show we had insurance cover they don't check through it.

It said they were doing 2 world cruises.

Yes it said they were on the last cruise before shut down. No doubt they will be on 2 of our cruises.

Just saw on the news that a couple embarked today & are doing 53 b2b cruises, don't get off until August 2024.

We cruise in 59 days & today after choosing our embark time I received a barcode so I guess we are good to go. Is it the barcode you need? I just uploaded our certificates. I screenshot our barcode in case it disappeared 😏

It looks like it could be attached to a sparkly lanyard. I'm going to give it a go with mine...nothing like a bit of sparkle 😀

We cruise again in about 8 weeks. If we get covid again cruising will be out for us.

Fiji is open as we just came from there on Sunday. We had to test negative on arrival in Fiji & again to cruise. Had 3 great days on land but within 3 days on being on a Blue lagoon cruise we both self tested positive to covid. The cruise line did not mention or seen to care that their starf were coughing all over the place, I think it was them spreading it. We were really quite sick & still feel the remnants 10 days on. Vanuatu probably aren't willing for this to happen.

Can you book dining on the app prior to cruising or do you need to wait until on the ship?

This week after months of pain & discomfort hubby was diagnosed with a Inguinal hernia. Do I need to advise the travel insurer? I realise it won't be covered when we are away. Or should I try & see if it can be covered if possible? (My preference) Of course hubby says he will be fine & not to worry 😏 Dr says he is fine to travel to Fiji.

Yes we have to be 67 which isn't for a few years yet. We will look into what benefits we can get from the government when the time comes. We are very grateful to be able to self fund ourselves in the meantime.

We live off our super & have since 60, so definitely don't need to be 67. It's our only income so without it we would still be working 😱

We fly to Fiji next week for a cruise & have to prove we have travel insurance before flying. It is a country requirement as well as a cruise requirement.

Wow that is a lot of money. Have you tried Southern Cross travel insurance, they cover covid & pre-existing medical. Good luck.

1cover is definitely in operation still, i took out insurance with them last week.

We are cruising in August & were able to book dining times on the app. The only thing we can't do yet is book our boarding time yet.
