Does check-in still open at midnight eastern time if you are sailing out of Long Beach CA?
Since the ship leaves out of Long Beach, it will be midnight Pacific time.

Someone onboard Wonder posted pics of several food stations on the boardwalk... donuts, chocolate fountain, flag cupcake cake, pulled pork sliders, mac n cheese bites, and some other stuff I couldn't quite identify. A band (possibly the country band from Mason Jar) was also playing in the Aqua Theater.
It looked like a very nice spread.
My daughter and Granddaughter are on Wonder now. The balloon drop was at midnight last night, so she fought to stay awake. Not sure why so late, since it was technically July 5th. They also had some other games and trivia geared toward the 4th.

Thanks all. If I wait to purchase onboard, do I have to stand in a line at internet services or can this just be done interactively on the TV in the cabin like on NCL? It's only a five day cruise and don't want to spend any time in a line, if possible.
It's currently discounted to $16.99 from $24.99. Have you found it's also discounted once on the ship?
You just need to do the math. Will it overall be cheaper to get your free day and pay onboard cost, which could be $24.99 or more, for 4 days, or get 5 days at $16.99. It will not be cheaper on the ship. I personally think you will be better off at pre purchased $16.99

per person, a 6-pack of soda/water
43 minutes ago, OCVTSGIRL said:FYI...your canned soda allowance you can bring on board is a 12 pack not a 6 pack.
Maybe he was thinking 2 in a cabin, which is technically a 6 pack pp or 12 pack per cabin. Now if there were more than 2, it’s still 12. LOL

You can look in the app at current sailing and see. Some of the headliner acts and comedians may change frequently, but you can see the main shows.

I can tell you main shows…Spectra’s Cabernet, Live Love Legs and The Beautiful Dream

Tip 7 Get up early on departure day as things are slower with elevators or be prepared to take the stairs like i did.
I discovered taking an elevator up when everybody is going down helps. At least I get a space then. 😉

You should be able to to get a price drop up to final payment, as long as it’s the exact category you booked. Not type of cabin, but exact category.
-
You can also take 12 non alcoholic beverages on, which could include waters and/or sodas. I always take a pack of flavored sparkling waters.

We are cruising Oasis in August. Where in the app do I find the shoes and reservation information? Have never made reservations before and would love to try this time!!
I personally find it easier to reserve in the cruise planner on website. Upper left on pull down menu and choose Entertainment. Everything to reserve should show up there.

Is the DBP $14 limit on drink price based on the base price of the drink, or the price of the drink + the 18% gratuity?
Base price of drink.

I looked at a current sailing of a random ship, and Buffalo Trace is $9.99, plus 18% gratuity. You can look on the app under the current sailing, under Dining, Bars and Lounges, and find prices. I looked at Casino Bar.
@Sea Dogwas on point.

Or go up a block to Gordo Lele’s for authentic Mexican tacos at a cheap price.

Disappointing itineraries and very high prices, hope we see another ship sailing out of Singapore. Anthem?
I would love to see a ship sailing from Singapore in Oct/2024. I will be on Carnival Panorama TP from Singapore to Long Beach mid Oct. I did the reverse in 2019 on Carnival Splendor, and then hopped on a B2B 3/4 day on the Voyager.

Thank you. Do you have to reserve shows ahead of time? Is there a package deal for the "extra" restaurants? Is Muster like Carnival where you do it when you get onboard...or is everyone crammed on deck like the old days?
Normally the shows that can be reserved, will show up on planner around the first of month, previous to your cruise. So yours would be Dec 1. Now that has been closest to normal time frame, but my show up a bit sooner or later. I would start looking at website for reservations maybe mid November.
Muster is easy. Sometimes if you hop on ship Wi-Fi in terminal, you can watch it on the app, and then just go check in at muster station when you board.
Also, you may get offered 3 day, 5 day package dinner deals, or unlimited, which also includes lunches at specialty restaurants. It’s all about keeping an eye on your planner, either website or app.

I'm an Elite member on Celebrity. If that's the case, I won't need a drink package, 4 vouchers per day is fine, and we'd bring wine on board, we're in the Boston area anyway, so we won't have to worry about packing bottles for a flight.
You should get a letter in your cabin on boarding day, stating all your benefits as Diamond. I will be going on my first Celebrity cruise next year, and looking forward to Elite level there.

Thanks, I usually said on Celebrity and get their drink package, so I'm not up to speed on current drink package prices on their own.
What loyalty level are you on Celebrity? May qualify you as Diamond on Royal, and get 4 free drink vouchers, to be used anytime during the day.

Great, thank you. I'm considering the 5 night cruise at the end of October, are the prices for the beverage packages on RC's site?
There is no set price. They fluctuate from ship to ship, and each cruise. Plan on about $75-90pp, plus 18% gratuity on the package. Shorter cruises usually run a little more than longer cruises.

Several factors would be a big NO for me, but I don’t know what your patience/tolerance level is. If what people mentioned doesn’t bother you, then go for it.

Are you on a 7 day cruise, a journeys cruise?
7 day cruises aren’t Journey cruises. Journey cruise are normally 9/10+ days.

Is RCL doing this, too? I know Carnival had texted this to their folks.
There is no Royal ship today. NCL, MSC and CCL are the 3 ships.

In the app, pick head icon upper right, select a different cruise, browse our ships, Radiance, and then go to current sailing. You can go to each day cruise planner, and around 5ish see dress for the evening

Which Sitmar ship? We cruised on that line in the 80’s.
I think it was Fairwind in 1980. It was 11 night to Caribbean. Also sailed 10 or 11 day Fairsea to Mexico. Might have the 2 backwards. Did 4 Sitmar cruises, and Princess gave credit for them when Princess bought.

That’s a good idea also. Might start doing that too.

Set my alarm for midnight to check in
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted · Edited by crzndeb
Good to know. I stand corrected. I like late boarding, so when people mention midnight from where ship leaves, I thought that applied to West Coast also. Maybe that’s only Royal.
