I have done one solo and have 2 more booked. Availability varies with each sailing unfortunately. Its time consuming but I keep trying different dates on the website until I find one that works.

Hi everyody. I have had to cancel Sky Princess for this Saturday due to family member illness. I have platinum insurance through Princess thankfully with CFAR. I am told I will receive a FCC, but agent could not tell me whenthe FCC expires.
i have 2 questions:
Can anyone tell me when FCC expires?
Is the FCC for one person or can use it like cash for a booking for 2 people? Original booking was for me only, travelling solo.
Thanks for your help.

Yes, call. Website was wacky about availability in YC for my upcoming March cruise. Called my TA and I got cabin no problem.

@morpheusofthesea Did you notice any solos on your cruise?
-
@morpheusofthesea Enjoying your posts very much.
Now that you've experienced Explora , can you give some insight for fans of the YC re what type of those fans would also enjoy Explora?

Have use Goport shuttle, was easy and inexpensive.

Looking forward to your review! I have a friend on same ship/itinerary in February and I'm curious how the ports are in winter.

We are going on a smaller ship, MSC Divina, so maybe that will make a difference.
I am going in with a positive expectation but will keep an open mind. My DW and I are pretty laid back when it comes to activities on a cruise but will definitely not confine ourselves to the YC areas exclusively.
I was on Divina last year in YC and all was excellent, I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. We never ask for much from the staff, but the few requests we had were handled well. YC director at that time went above and beyond without being asked. In case anyone is wondering, i am not an advance tipper or known by staff as a regular. Have sailed YC on Meraviglia , Divina and Seaside and all were excellent experiences. I do hope the issues currently on Seashore are resolved as I will be on her in March.

@Host CJSKIDS was it difficult to get a Sanctuary reservation? Trying to decide if its worth it to leave very early for the portto attempt it. Am not elitebut will be green lane..

In the past year or so have done a 4 night YC on Divina and 3 night YC on Seaside. Both were excellent and I didn't notice any difference in service compared to a week in YC on Meraviglia. Really hoping things improve on the Seashore by March when I will be in YC again.
Appreciate those who are reporting on their now and future experiences.

I'm not a beach person at all. I look and feel very awkward there. I'll defer to others on this one.
There are lockable bags you can secure to your chair. KYSS is one example.
i use a water wallet for money, ID and credit card.

Some lines have a limited number of solo bookings which is why they may show as unavailable.
Take a look at cruiseplum.com, where you can see a list of sailings with reduced single supplement

Would like to know , with more passengers in Yacht Club are the spaces indoor and outdoor, crowded at all? The biggest appeal of the Yc to me is the lack of crowds and how relaxing that is.

Try the cruise plum website where you can see solo, deals. I hope I am allowed to post this, its not a travel agent.

I will not have priority boarding. From what I am reading I am unlikely to get a sanctuary spot? Trying to decide what time to arrive at port, am taking the train and need to figure out what time to book the train.

Trying to do the math.
Can anyone share cocktail menu ( standard, nothing exotic) or wines by the glas menu?
Also, what do lattes or cappucinos cost?
Thank you!

Thank you for you review. Your comments are extremely helpful for our planning of our upcoming cruise. I can't help to notice how few umbrellas there are on the YC beach. I realize that you found some that were left by others. Do you know if they were rented by the original occupants or were they free? Were there enough loungers available for everyone? Are there towels available at the YC area or do you need to bring them from the ship? Finally, would you feel safe leaving your belongings on your loungers while you went snorkeling or to lunch?
That picture is not the YC beach, might be the lagoon beach across the way. Lots of umbrellas in place at YC beach two weeks ago . They provide towels there. It's all very easy. Bring some type of water shoes if you want to swim.
