As someone who doesn’t like long meals…I say it’s worth doing once. I did it in Feb and would do it again.

I'd do it again when they change the menu, but once per menu, I will agree.
The Vista class and newer have dedicated rooms for the Chefs Table. I know Vista had it down in the galley, but it was a room so it wasn't noisy at all.

It still amazes me how people know to come here to complain, but didn't pay attention to this forum over the last 2 years when all of these changes were announced. I guess they wouldn't have anything to complain about if they actually paid attention and not just ASSUMED everything was the same.

Hey @carol louisewhen were you able to sign up? Did you just go to Shore Exc as soon as you got on or did you have to wait until a certain time?
We've been wanting to do this for so long and thought post-Covid it wouldn't happen. We're on Venezia in Sept out of NY and I would love to be able to participate.
Thanks so much!!
Go to the shore excursion desk as soon as you board the ship. Occasionally its been closed, but I went to guest services and still got signed up.

Because the website says that I can refund with no penalty. Only Bonsai Teppanyaki and The Chefs table have cancellation penalties. If I didn’t eat the food or receive the service then I am do a refund of my money. We cancelled in a timely manner so others could get a reservation.
Where does it say you can cancel without penalty? I don't see anything regarding that.

What are some of the best options for getting from the Orlando International Airport to a hotel near the port?

I had a cove on Vista and while I didn't think the weather was bad or the ocean rough, we woke up to salt on everything every morning, so we had to wipe down the chairs every day before we could sit down. Not worth the hassle for me and I go back to my aft extended balconies.

Wouldn’t “food the can get at home” encompass ALL food? I’m not aware of any dishes that exist exclusively at sea…
You know what I'm saying. There was a complaint on John Healds page that they couldn't easily get fried chicken, chicken fingers, and other common American fast food type items onboard. Complained about the food options that you would find in the ports that are visited.
-
It amazes me how many people want the same food they can get at home onboard the ships.

You are canceling a cruise, to try for a different one. You aren't likely to get any relief this close to sailing.
-
You have to go to a designated area and obtain the luggage tags. The early ones go super fast.

Since the ship leaves out of Long Beach, it will be midnight Pacific time.
Not true. It is always midnight eastern time.

The joys of online TAs. They don't care.

Anybody know percentage-wize how much Seattle will ding you before you leave port?
I found a couple on Google and it appears to be between 8.8% and 10.25%

I agree with the previous posters, but be aware that they may say you didn't send it in early enough and deny it. I've seen a few people say they were denied because of not sending it in early enough.

I don't play, but I see a lot of people playing it. It's like BINGO, If the cruise line wasn't making money, they wouldn't do it which makes the prizes not very favorable, IMO. I haven't seen anyone win any of the top 2 prizes, only 1-2 of the 3rd tier, but a lot of the lower 3 tiers.

No, technically the interior would have to wait until their assigned time UNLESS ALL occupants are minors. Then they will be allowed.
That being said, you will get many people saying they were able to do it with no issues.
-
Since the minors are in a room with an adult, technically, they should have FTTF for their room. That being said, they will likely let you go together.

They can set any terms and conditions they want but I am curious if anyone knows why they charge for changing the name of non-booking guest. I can see if the person under whose VIFP number the cabin was booked changed - essentially that is a cancellation - but others? Is it "just because we can?"
Because you are canceling one person and booking another. The deposits clearly say non-refundable. It doesn't say non-refundable unless you want to change a person out.

The joys of not really reading the terms and conditions of the rate code you booked under.

Seriously? I thought that Carnival was child friendly?
How can we appropriately feed our baby in this case?

The majority of the ports do not have the infrastructures to support the scooter.

I prefer the Horizon as well. The Teppenyaki is amazing and missed it on Vista.

Where you will be sailing from Port Canaveral and not Galveston like this cruise, this is not the best spot for the correct information. If possible, try and get a later flight. MCO is a horrible airport. I was there at 9:00 AM for a 1:00 PM flight and was still worried about missing it. Finally got passed security around Noon.
