  1. Hello. On our cruise in August aboard the Regal Princess, we stopped in Istanbul, and Kusadasi. We were given a temporary visitor card with a bar code that they scanned at the port upon debarkation, and again when we returned to the port from our shore excursion. Very straightforward process.
  2. Will be sailing on Celebration in February. Fantastic entertainment and the Super Bowl to boot. Can't wait. 🙂
  3. Hello. We will be embarking on the Celebration on Super Bowl Sunday. Does anyone know where they will be showing the event on the ship? Will it be on the big screen by the main pool. Anywhere else....Assuming that it would be the same as the Mardi Gras, so can anyone from the Mardi Gras chime in? Thanks
  4. Applied for a Nexus card for my wife and I back in February. Both received conditional approval, and now need to schedule interviews. Any idea when/if Canadian centres may re-open? (I.e. preferably Ottawa). Thanks.
  5. On our recent Cruise stop in Kusadasi aboard the Regal Princess, we arranged in advance to book Yucel (Kusadasi Taxi Port) for our transportation directly from the cruise port to the Ancient city of Ephesus, about a 30 minute drive from the port. Let me say that this was a fantastic decision, as we thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful 1/2 day with this kind and and helpful gentleman. I had contacted Yucel directly from his website a few months prior to our journey. We communicated multiple times through What's App, and he responded promptly and efficiently to all of my requests. Yucel was waiting at the port for us when we arrived, with a sign that had our name on it. Yucel's vehicle was extremely clean and well maintained. On our way to Ephesus, Yucel provided us with information on the area as well as how and where to meet him after our visit. He also showed us videos of other attractions in the area, if we wanted to visit them as well. You could feel his passion and love for his city. We highly recommend him if you want to avoid the crowded ship sponsored tours. Upon arrival in Ephesus, he brought directly to the ticket office and entrance. As this was a busy time of year there were multiple guided tours occurring onsite, so you could easily listen in if you wanted any explanation of the sites. After our tour, he was waiting for us at the exit, and drove us directly back to the port as we had requested. He offers transportation to multiple local attractions if desired.Kusadasi is definitely a hidden gem, and a wonderful place to visit. The only regret is that we did not have more time there. We will definitely contact Yucel, when we return, and visit some of the other wonderful places.
  6. Hello. You had me at "Excellent pint". This is our plan for Heraklion. Any chance you remember the name of the bar? 🙂 Thanks.
  7. Oh this is Great News!!. Thank you su much for letting us know.
  8. Thanks again. We'll wait and see. Seems strange though that you would need to test again before your Athens stop, given that Greece seems to have dropped all restrictions, and you will be visiting Crete and Mykonos before Athens without needing a test.
  9. Hello Ken. Thank you for the wonderful posts and pics. Will be following for sure. We are doing the exact same 21 night itinerary leaving BCN on Aug 13th. Not sure if you can answer yet, but have you been advised whether or not you will be required to have a Covid test administered onboard prior to arriving in Athens (i.e. before the last 7 day leg of your cruise)? Thank you
  10. Will definitely pack our carry ons/personal bags with the essentials just in case. Since we have 3 days in BCN prior to our cruise, hoping that our luggage will make it eventually. I can probably get by with just a carry on anyway. However, we generally use the carry ons to pack shoes (most of which are not mine 🙂 )
  11. Thank you for all of your replies. Much appreciated I have been watching the status over the last few days for the flights (YOW-YUL, YUL-BCN) that I am scheduled to take in August. So far they have shown as being delayed, but none were cancelled. As for driving or taking the train to YUL, I have thought about it, but this would technically require a flight change, as I don't believe that you can just show up at YUL for the connecting flight. Also, we booked the flights through Princess EZ-Air, and given the well documented issues encountered by several posters with cancelled and/or changed flights, I do'n't know if we should risk asking for the change. As well, I neglected to mention that we will be arriving in BCN 3 days before the cruise, so hopefully our luggage will make it to us by then.
  12. Hello. For our Mediterranean cruise in August, we are flying Air Canada from Ottawa (YOW) to Barcelona (BCN) via Montreal (YUL). We have a 3 hour layover in YUL. We have never travelled to Europe, so and I have some questions on how luggage is handled. We plan on checking in two large bags. Since unlike flying to the US, there is no customs pre-clearance, do we need to retrieve our luggage in YUL and check it back in for our BCN flight? If not, then given our 3 hour layover, and the current issues with delays and lost luggage at the airports, what are the chances that our luggage will accompany us on our flight to BCN? Thank you.
  13. Following. Will be on the Regal for 21 nights in August from Barcelona to Barcelona. Thank you for posting. Love the pictures.
  14. Hello again. Question about the nightly shows in the Princess Theater. What time are the shows, and are there two per night? Thanks
  15. Oh that's great. I found the website to pre-book (COVID tests at Barcelona Airport T1 (flycovidtestcenter.com) Thanks again.
  16. Hello. Thank you so much for your responses. We are also flying in from Montreal on AC, and arriving to Barcelona on the Wednesday morning. If I could ask where in the BCN airport did you have your Covid tests done (I.e. was it the same terminal that you arrived in?) Our flight will arrive in Terminal 1. Much appreciate all of the info that you have provided.
  17. Actually, correction, as I indicated in Post #63, it does say ticket number next to our flights and names. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks
  18. When I go to the Air Canada website and enter our booking reference number, our reservations come up and our seat selections are there as well.
  19. This is what I see. There is a 10 digit ticket number next to our names on the Travel summary.
  20. So I just checked my Travel summary in my Princess Booking, and now we have booking numbers for all flights listed next to our names. Does this mean that our flights are ticketed and paid for? Thanks again
  21. Also going to be on the Regal for 21 nights (Barcelona to Barcelona) in August. Biggest stressor at this point is the testing. Specifically, we know we need to test before boarding in Barcelona, and as of now before arriving in Athens on day 14. Does anyone know, if we would also need to test before arriving in Civitavecchia (Rome) on Day 7? Thank you.
