  1. Welcome to Celebrity, I am sure you will enjoy it! Since you are in a Sky Suite, you should have all 4 perks--premium beverage pkg., prepaid gratuities, internet and OBC. You will have anytime dining in the suites only dining room--Luminae. We felt Celebrity was a move up from Royal Caribbean and now my husband won't consider doing any other cruise line.

  2. THANK YOU SOOOO much for the great info. Yes, I did go to that website and started to fill out the forms. That was the easy part. I just was concerned about the pics and not doing it to their specifications. I don't know how to measure what they want. I know how to take and upload photos to a website, but they seem very strict. Taking your advice and going to have them done at the post office and staple them to the application like you did. THANK YOU again!

You can go to Walgreen's, RiteAid, Sam's Club, etc. to get passport pic done. Only one is needed to send in, even if they give you two. I could have done it myself, but this way I was sure and it was done!

  3. The cabin doors are generally metal, but they are coated so that only good, strong magnets will work. Sheet magnets will work if they are large enough You might also consider some of the adhesives, such as Command Strips. You just have to be careful not to damage the door.

  4. No, we are not allowed to discuss travel agencies by name. I will say that the online travel agency that I use always gives me extra perks and extra OBC. The cruise companies basically charge the same prices as you will find on a TA site. The difference comes in with the perks they are able to add. Good luck with your searches!

  5. Why wouldn't you print them? That's part of the precruise excitement.

Exactly! I have everything I need to print and laminate the tags. I like to put 2 on each suitcase in case one gets torn off (I have seen luggage tags lying on the floor). I attach mine with heavy duty reusable tag holders. All in all only costs me 20 or 30 cents. I don't need to do that with Celebrity as they still provide preprinted tags.

  6. If what you are saying is that you booked through the Celebrity website, you can easily transfer the booking to one of the online travel agencies. I have done that several times and gotten extra perks and/or OBC. Check with the travel agencies and see what they can do for you. Well worth the effort.

  7. Here up north, we shut off the water and don't forget to shut off the frig ice maker. We have to leave the heat on to avoid freezing pipes.

Sent from my iPad using Forums

We just got back from an 11 night cruise. I turned off the water, but didn't even think about the ice maker. It was iced over and stopped making ice. Finally figured out how to reach up inside the door (it's a fridge with in door ice) and clear the ice jam. That's when I found the little switch to turn the ice maker on and off!

  8. We always use Jiffy Jeff Transportation for our shuttle service.

They have these nice luxury Mercedes sprinter vans and great customer service.

    Reliable and dependable.

    Highly recommend.

We also used Jiffy Jeff and we were very impressed with their service. We flew into FLL stayed overnight in Ft. Lauderdale and then were picked up from our hotel for transport to the Port of Miami. After the cruise, they picked us up at the port and took us back to FLL. Very nice Mercedes vans and they kept in constant communication so we knew exactly when to expect them. They were right on time and very courteous.

  9. So glad you were able to get this worked out to your satisfaction. Amazing how the right person can get things done when no one else can. Your cabin is right under the Solarium so should not be that noisy. It will be convenient and the larger balcony is a bonus! Enjoy your cruise.

  10. Generally, to get the upgrade, you book the A1 cabin and then they charge you the A2 price. You need to remind them that you are aware of the upgrade availability in case they don't tell you. If you are happy with the cabin you have chosen, then stay with it. Sometmes the A1 cabins are in less desirable locations, such as under the pool deck.

  11. Can I assume that my travel clock radio will not work on radio mode? I hate waking to a buzzer.

Probaby won't as there are no radio stations nearby, unless you are near a port. You will probably wake up to static. You could as Guest Relations for a wakeup call, usually that works.

  12. Just did a renewal. Printed the forms online, had pics taken at the local Walgreen's (BTW, you only need to send one even though they will print 2 pictures) and mailed from the local post office, regular mail. Received back in 10 days.

  13. I love my little travel clock I picked up on a Princess cruise, turn a nob to change time zones, built in torch. Very handy.

You must have the same one I do. I was able to buy mine locally and even gave one to all my friends and family. So convenient, a flashlight and a world time clock that easily changes time zones by rotating the end. Also tells the temp and is an alarm clock. Mine is made by Journey's Edge.

  14. We submitted our application in person at USPS office. We just had the Routine (regular) Service, not Expedited. We were charged $6.65 for postage.

Wow, you must have paid either for priority mail or requested a tracking number. I know it says on the passport website that a tracking number is preferred, but I figured that since I went to the post office and put it directly in their hands, it should have been safe. BTW, I paid $1.40 to send it regular mail.
