  1. Sorry to hear that, have never flown on Silver and in fact never heard of them. We generally use Southwest Air to FLL and have been very happy. No baggage fees and no change fees. Is there anyway you could cancel without a huge fee since they changed your flight?

  2. Very happy that this worked out for you. As I understand it, the aft cabins are especially hard to come by as they are in great demand. When my husband wanted to book the Dutch Antilles cruise in October, I saw that this cabin was open and called my TA and grabbed it. I am glad to hear that it is a good location and look forward to being in it. Hope you have a great cruise!

I was speaking with a Capt Club agent today and she looked at a future reservation and told me for $100 I could upgrade from C1 to S1 and would have premium beverage package, free gratuities, OBC and unlimited internet.....sounded like a no brainier (for net net it's $100 more for the entire cruise than paying for those because they'd be included for free)

    Thanks for posting this. I hope that Carnival steps up and fixes their mistake. $25 is no where near enough compensation for all the trouble this has caused. Let us know how it turns out. We're rooting for you!!

  5. Why would anyone leave their carry on bags in MC? Mine goes with me everywhere, even to Luminae, because it contains laptop, medications, jewelry and cameras. As for the specially ordered items, after screw ups on the part of X on more than one occasion, including many items that were paid for and not received, we no longer order anything from X's website.

    Absolutely, my carryon has valuables that I would not leave anywhere out of my sight. I do however put ID on it as well as a luggage tag, just in case something happens.

  6. When my SIL had to go to Medical on a RCCL cruise for a broken hip, I went down to check on her. I noticed that there was a basket in the reception area of the nurse's office with packets of seasickness tabs, free for the taking. I can't remember, but may have been Bonine.

     

    Perhaps Celebrity does the same. Anyone know?

  7. I have emailed her twice with my request and called her as well but it went straight to voice mail. I had actually exchanged emails with her the week before (and before I knew of my change of plans!) and she didn't mention that she would be away. There is no out of town message on neither her email or phone. I will keep trying - it's not really convenient to visit her - she works from home. I've dealt with her before with no issues but of course I've never had to cancel anything either! I just have this feeling that she's ignoring me because she doesn't want to lose a booking!

    If you paid with a credit card, would it be possible to start a dispute through the credit card company? That would certainly get her attention!

Currently on Eclipse - yes we have xcellerate but no - although they advertise that you can stream Netflix etc - you CAN't at this moment 4.45pm even this cruise critic forum will barely load but at least with unlimited it doesn't matter to much how long it takes. Select members get 25% off so compared with the old by the minute charges it isn't too badly priced

    Was really hoping that the xcelerate would would much better. But, as you say, with unlimited it doesn't matter how long it takes.

  9. Where is the link to the "Ticket Booklet"? I am not seeing that anyplace. I've cruised X several times and have never had this issue. Others that are my same cruise and also have cruise tours afterwards are not having this issue.

     

    Actually it is strangely showing that we have negative $175. credit ???? Not sure why. I wonder if for some reason our Ticket Booklet hasn't been issued yet? And why?

     

    When you log on, go to Manage My Cruise, then scroll to the bottom of the page. It will tell you if your luggage tags and documents are ready yet. Mine were ready at 46 days prior to this cruise.

This may sound dumb, so I apologize in advance: If I pick as a perk, the unlimited internet for 2, does this mean that it would be the same as if dh and I purchased 2 separate internet plans, so that we could each go on the same time on our own netbook/tablet? I didn't really get a straight answer from customer service (big surprise) so I am hoping someone actually really knows the answer to my question. Thanks in advance. Anita

    You each have separate and unique sign ons for your accts. We have the unlimited pkg. for both of us as part of the current promo and I am planning to take a netbook and a tablet.
