Since we have been to and toured Vina Del Mar and Valpariso, we had not planned to get off the ship today! Then we learned that there was a grocery store (Jumbo) approximately 1/2 mile away, so our plans changed! After breakfast, we got in line and took the shuttle bus to the terminal at around 9:15am. The grocery store was an easy walk, one straight street to get there! We picked up some more chips, chocolate, and cookies, for ourselves and our Cabin Steward, and of course, two bottles of wonderful. Chilean Carminere. It took some extra time to get through the terminal, onto a shuttle, and back to the ship, as the terminal staff were a bit unorganized, but we were onboard again around 11am. A photo of the view from our balcony, and a couple from photos from outside!

The show was really good! The singers are all fantastic! I especially loved “Smoke on the Water”! Awesome! There was one number where the audience was encouraged to wave their phone flashlights. It always cracks me up that very few seem to know how to find their phone flashlight! We watched many try to figure it out, but couldn’t so just used their “home” screen! 🤣

We had dinner in Chops last night and Jim loved his Filet! As always, great food and service! The MDR has had an “off the menu” dinner special each night. On Night 1 of this cruise, the special was Filet Mignon, which of course was Jim’s choice. He said his Filet was as good as the ones he gets in Chops.

Today we took a ship’s tour to Tierra Del Fuego National Park. The name means “Fire Land” and according to our guide, it was coined because of the fires used by the Indigenous People that communicated by smoke-signals. The day began sunny, clouded up and rained a bit, then cleared again. The Park was beautiful and our time there, although about 3 hours, was too short!

Portable fan for stateroom
pstone1 replied to lovesthebeach2's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We have been using this fan for almost a year. It has 3 speeds and can either be hung with a heavy duty hook or can stand on a counter. It plugs into a USB port to charge and folds flat to fit easily in a carry-on. We fly and cruise with it all the time!
