Nice you have at least one non-stop from SJC to LHR. I just checked flightconnections.com and there are a number of one-stop connections on OneWorld (AA and BA) that aren't too bad should your flight be cancelled.

I'll make a note to post here what happens. Kevin

Sorry to hear this, but glad you found a replacement. Flying isn't fun these days. Along with the turmoil have come insanely high prices. As you know from our time together in December, we had problems on our September cruise because Hurricane Ian caused damage at our home. We were on day four of a 21-day cruise in the Med and decided to get off in Rome on day seven to fly home. We had booked the air through Princess. Even though we could access our return flight on the United website, we couldn't make changes without going through Princess. Ultimately, Princess couldn't do what we wanted, so we just cancelled the return flight with Princess and booked our own flights home. Lesson learned - we now book all our air directly with the airlines. Same with hotels. Regarding strikes in Europe, at least they're scheduled and there are many restrictions on when and how long. For those flying into Italy on June 4 and 5 (fortunately we arrive on June 7), there is a planned strike involving ground crew, and some other unions are joining in. United is allowing free changes for anyone flying on those dates. We don't need to change, but our flight is now much fuller. We're lucky we got our business upgrade a while ago, as now there are only two seats left. Happy travels, Kevin

Hi, Marilyn, Glad Wally is doing well and you will finally get to Iceland. We did enjoy our cruise on Enchanted last July, but we would probably have enjoyed it more on Azamara. We took our first Azamara cruise in December and liked it so much, we booked several more cruises. Tuesday, we leave for a B2B Croatia Intensive and Italy Intensive. Azamara's a big change from the Princess Royal-class ships, but a change we like. We will be in the same general area as you in August, doing Ireland and Scotland on Regal Princess. Though I don't have tons of experience with Azamara, I'm confident things will be fun on our upcoming cruises and we'll try not to sweat the small stuff. It's good your flights are there. We've stopped booking flights with the cruise lines and go directly now. The advantages of booking with the cruise lines are not enough to make up for the loss of flexibility when you book directly with the airlines. Enjoy, Kevin

Our TA gives us the choice of insurance, rebate after the cruise, or OBC. We always take the rebate as that's the easiest option. Taking OBC can lead to issues like yours and is harder to keep track. Glad you got it credited, finally.

Exact same with us, me at Adventurer and Nan at Preview. We are both Discoverer. We sail Onward on Jun 10, flying to Venice on Tuesday. The OBC issue doesn't bother me as that's just money and will eventually get sorted out. Not having the appropriate loyalty perks is something that's difficult to correct after you've missed them. Kevin
  7. Must have been a software change to disable the HDMI. I'll let you know what I find. Kevin
  8. It's the way to go if you don't have an included package. Only risk is whoever you share the login credentials with can boot you off your device 😬
  9. We were on Enchanted last July in a Mini-Suite. I was able to switch inputs on the TV by the couch (never tried the one by the bed), though I don't remember if it was with the toggle underneath or the LG or universal remotes I bring with me. We're on Sky in July and Regal in August. I know Regal works just fine, first time on Sky. Kevin
  10. One login that you use on all three devices. Their system tracks how many devices are connected.
  11. I rarely stream with it, at least post-COVID. I usually use a travel router and connect the Roku to that.
  12. IIRC, you use the same method for connecting a Roku in a hotel. I usually don't use the Roku to stream because, as @Techwizardress said, internet hasn't been good on Princess in a long while. I bring a Roku Ultra in order to play TV shows and movies from a thumb drive. The Roku Ultra is the only model with that feature. Kevin
  13. Should be able to. The premium upgrade is on sale this weekend.
  14. We were on Equinox in April and sailed under Cruise Only fare. I purchased a two-device premium plan for me and nothing for my wife. We were both able to use a device at the same time. If we wanted to use a third device, we just signed off one of the other devices. We did have to use my login credentials for both devices - one laptop and one phone.
  15. Perhaps. I posted a thought about the length being too long and information no longer relevant. Another idea would be to split the thread into years or some other shorter period, like "Anyone on board currently (Jan to Jun 2023)". The information in the thread is valuable. It would be helpful if the "currently" was really current. JMHO, Kevin
  16. It's a great thread, and it was a great source of information on how things changed or didn't change after return to sail. 2,600 posts are a testament to its value. In 2023, there have only been about 100 posts. Perhaps, it's because it was unpinned. It may be that 2,600 posts is too long and many new readers can't be bothered going through dozens of pages to find pertinent information. Many of the postings aren't relevant any longer as cruising has returned to "normal" and many of us have cruised numerous times since 2021. Pinning this thread might help, but it's still too long. Perhaps pinning a new thread each year or every six months might be better. This way the threads will be shorter and information will be much more recent. Thanks, Kevin
  17. It may be a logical thread for reading current experiences; it's not a logical thread for posting experiences. If I wanted to post something about my current cruise, I'd do it in the roll call or a Live From thread if there was one. I wouldn't think to look for a thread called "Anybody onboard, currently?" Kevin
  18. It's not just the bridge cam channel. You should be able to use the toggle on any live channel. Thanks for the report. Just an FYI, I was on Celebrity Equinox last week and was able to use the toggle on their Samsung TV. I use a travel router and connect the Roku to that. Bandwidth was enough to stream.
  19. Yes. This is the remote I used on Enchanted last July: Universal Remote
  20. Not a big investment: Universal Remote
  21. We were on Enchanted last July, and I was able to change inputs. I only tried the TV by the sofa (we had a Mini Suite), though I don't remember whether I needed to do it with the remote. I carry and LG remote, Samsung remote, and a Universal. Going on Sky Princess this July, and Regal in August. I know the toggle works on Regal. Will be on Discovery next April for the Solar Eclipse cruise. Tomorrow we're on Celebrity Equinox. It's been a while since I've been on a Solstice-class ship, so I'm hoping I can hook up the Roku. I believe they use Samsung TVs.
  22. Thanks for the suggestion, Don, but besides what @MissP22 said about another thing to carry, why would I want to watch on a 16" screen when there's a perfectly good 43" TV (or two) in the stateroom? Kevin
  23. I do the sealed bag in a shoe trick, too. Never failed.
  24. I was surprised, too. It seems most lines cruising out of Fusina are checking in at Marittima and transferred to the port in Fusina. Will just need to wait for the information to be posted to our booking. Glad we return to Chioggia since we are on the cruise following. It spends the night in Venice. Would hate to spend two days in Fusina!
  25. Thank you for the info - very helpful in making plans. Has anyone here ever sailed from Fusina? It seems like it's more of a commercial terminal rather than a cruise terminal. Does it have a passenger terminal inside if one arrives early? Thanks, Kevin
