On our cruise in Feb., on the Ruby out of Galveston, no one asked to see our qr code. I had it pulled up on my phone ready to show whoever per the pre cruise instructions, but no one looked at it.

Yep. Bribes are bribes. Money given in advance in return for preferential treatment is a bribe. Cruisers shouldn't feel they have to engage in bribery to get appropriate service.

On our upcoming 26 day cruise my DH & I will pay a total of $832 in daily gratuities. Some of you are saying that in addition to that I need to pay bribes to wait staff, bar tenders, cabin steward, maitre d, etc., in order to be treated fairly, for our place in line to be honored, for our ice bucket to be kept filled, to get an available requested table, etc. If this is true those employees who accept bribes in return for preferential treatment should be reported.

Great advice. I can't remember what online form I was filling out, may have been Princess related. After several attempts I sort of stumbled on the +1 country code was missing. After that was added all went smoothly.

I'm not on the Crown but maybe this info will be helpful anyway. We were on the Ruby last month. In the bathroom was a refillable lotion dispenser. No individual tubes of lotion. In the shower was a refillable shampoo/conditioner combo dispenser & a refillable shower gel dispenser. There were no bar soaps. I believe this is fleetwide, but not 100% sure.

On our Ruby cruise in Feb. DH & I watched the video in the cabin while I unpacked, then visited muster station. Our travel companions visited their muster station then watched the video. Both ways worked successfully.

Departure date is June 8, 2024, around the British Isles, on the Regal. It's over a year out, so too early, but just curious when the excursions will begin showing. Under each port it says "excursions not available at this time" or something like that. Thanks for the info. 😊

If I purchase a wifi pkg when we board can I use obc to pay for it? Is there any benefit to paying for it in advance through my medallion app? Thanks for any info.

We're taking a 26 day cruise as 2 b2bs in Nov. We have green lane status for the 1st segment. Does that automatically include the 2nd segment? Thanks for any info.

We just returned from a week on the Ruby. I still have each day's list of activities, including movies. None of them are familiar to me except Top Gun Maverick.. If it would be helpful I could list several of them for you. The titles & their ratings might be familiar to you. Let me know if that would help. 😊

We are just off a week on the Ruby. There was a suite/elite line to the far left. Like with candy4040 there were never more then a few minutes wait.

Last week on the Ruby I called room service to exchange mini bar for coffee pkgs. They came & took away mini bar. The next day they called me & said they no longer exchange them for coffee pkgs. I went to guest service desk & ask what they could do for me. She offered to return the mini bar. I wasn't interested in the mini bar. We finally settled on $50 obc each for DH & me. I asked if I can do that every cruise. She said no. It was my favorite elite perk. Very disappointed.

I haven't read all the back comments so this may be old news. We just returned yesterday from a week on the Ruby. I asked to exchange our mini bar set up for the 2 coffee pkgs like I've done previously. They said they no longer do that. Very disappointed that another elite perk has been removed. 😭

Pull up the Enchanted deck plan. Start with deck 16 & scroll the cabins. The sideways are long vertically rather than horizontally like regular inside cabins. Do this for each deck. If you find one you like make sure it doesn't sleep 3 or 4, unless that's what you're wanting. Often the extra berths fold up against the wall, sticking out so that you can get a nasty head bump.

I had exactly those feelings yesterday when our medallions arrived. It is an exciting event. I took pics of them & shared with friends. But I told DH this is the last time. After this we'll pick up at the port. Not paying a $10 shipping charge.
