This is scary. I've always felt completely confident & comfortable booking flights thru EZAir. But no more. I've never requested early ticketing. Wondering if I should do that. Would it prevent the nightmares I've read about recently. Our flights are Nov/Dec. 😒
We always do carryon plus 1 personal item each only. This was our luggage boarding in Southampton in 2021. I don't know which terminal. The pink paisley one is a rolling duffle that measures 21x13x10. The darker pink one is 20x13x9. We had no problems carrying it all on ourselves.
On our last 2 cruises, one on the Crown & one on the Ruby, we enjoyed the P,E,&S lounge. As Colorado Coasty said, it was peaceful, relaxed, & the nibbles were actually not bad at all. It's a nice diversion on sea days. 😊
In Feb my DH, my 2 sisters, & I cruised on the Ruby. We're elite. It was the 1st cruise for my sisters. As DH & I were leaving P/E Lounge I asked the greeter at the entrance if we could bring my sisters the next day. He said something like "of course" or "certainly", something along those lines.
How stressful for all of you. If the worst happens & you have to travel alone do you have insurance for the cruise, or will you lose money paid for the kids' cruises?!
We've had a totally useless cvp, but now have a really, really great one. She is prompt to answer & return calls & emails. She fixes problems I cannot figure out. She does the math so I know if rebooking, refaring is to our benefit. I have come to depend on her knowledge & expertise. ❤️
We've done several trans Atlantics. I enjoy the sea days. Movies, art auctions ( I never buy but enjoy the experience), lectures, galley demo & tour, afternoon tea. I'm not into group activities so can't comment on those.
We request a table for 2 at breakfast & all other meals we may have in the mdr. We enjoy meeting new people but we love our meals with just each other.
For our June BI cruise we'd like to take the excursion to Blarney Castle. The description warns there may be a long line & kissing the stone may not happen. Has anyone done this excursion in June? What was your experience? Thanks.
Our longest cruise has been 28 days. I get 4 ziplock sandwich bags. I label them PJ's nite meds, PJ's morning meds, SE's nite meds, SE's morning meds. Then I put all the specific meds in their bags. Because none of the meds look alike I can reach in & retrieve our meds each nite & each morning. We both have several prescription pills as well as some otc. I've never ever had a problem clearing airport security. I also take Tramadol for pain from a broken neck several yrs ago. I keep it in its prescription bottle because it's a narcotic. Never had a problem with it clearing security. Hope this helps.
It's all open seating now at your choice of mdr. You can make reservations, request a dining time, an mdr, a table size. But you may not have the same dinner companions from night to night. Or you can simply show up at any of the dining rooms at any time. There may be a short wait, sometimes you're seated immediately. We never make reservations, so I don't know how that's done. We prefer eating when & where we feel like it.
