Don't want to be called out for being "judgy", but to me it's difficult to be sympathetic when I have never received a casino offer. We pay full price for our cruises and accrue nights the same way cruisers with free casino offers do. We just happen to pay a small fortune to reach different VIFP levels. Enjoy the offers you receive and think about those of us who don't.

To those attending the Wednesday Audience with the Pope, here is something else you might want to know about in advance: Q: Does the Holy Father bless rosaries and other items? A: At the conclusion of Papal Audiences, the Sunday Angelus, and Papal Masses, the Holy Father gives his Apostolic Blessing. This blessing is for you, your family, your loved ones, and any items for devotional use that you have brought with you to be blessed. If you would like items such as rosaries, crucifixes, holy cards, or medals to be blessed, you simply have to have them with you for them to be blessed. The Holy Father has the intention of blessing also all these articles when he gives his blessing. A rosary or crucifix blessed by the Holy Father is a beautiful gift for your loved ones back home, so we strongly encourage you to take this opportunity. We bought some religious items at the Vatican gift shops during our tour to have blessed during the Wednesday Audience. Although the Pope was not speaking English, we knew it was time for the blessing when everyone around us held their items up. These are very special things to bring home!

I believe we did request them through the Vatican website. Just Google "tickets for Wednesday Audience with the Pope" We picked them up the day before to avoid having a long line to wait in to pick them up on Wednesday morning. You will also have to go through security and have your bags checked. We sat through downpours that morning and were soaked, even with umbrellas. It was totally worth it! The sun came out when the Pope came out!!!!

Ninjacat123 - please check and see if tickets are needed in order to attend the Wednesday audience with the Pope. They are free, but we requested tickets in advance and picked them up the day before when we attended. We arrived very early so we could get seats closer to the front. There will be a huge crowd attending. I would hate for you to be disappointed to miss out on such an amazing experience.

Just stop by the desk and tell them you want to order a drink. No need to actually eat. From what we hear, the free drink can be requested only in the main dining room. Very easy to do!

We would love to book a specialty restaurant, but we don't want to miss any of our favorites!!

Need help after docking in Piraeus with quick transportation to the National Archaeological Museum in Athens in October. We reached out to a few companies but that didn't work out. George's Taxi said they only book tours, for example. There are 3 other ships docking with ours, 1 docking at 6 am with us. Will we have trouble getting an Uber? Per CDC website: You can get norovirus by: Having direct contact with someone with norovirus, such as by caring for them, sharing food or eating utensils with them, or eating food handled by them. Eating food or drinking liquids that are contaminated with norovirus. Touching surfaces or objects contaminated with norovirus and then putting your unwashed fingers in your mouth. Just sharing information. No personal opinions or judging needed here. Everyone needs to decide for themselves how to try and stay healthy.

Anybody remember something called norovirus?? Here's a headline from just last week per CBS News, USA Today, CNN, Fox News, WebMD. etc.: "Norovirus Cruise Ship Outbreaks Already Reach 10-Year High In 2023, At a Record - Setting Pace". Just want to remind everyone that there's a reason to be careful sharing serving utensils, using contaminated drink dispensers, and so on. Personally contracted norovirus on an upscale cruise line years ago. You think it won't happen to you, until it does.

Yuck to all this. I've seen people filling up their bottles to the top so the water dispenser winds up IN the water in their bottle. How can they not see this if I can?? If they've been drinking from their bottle and they are topping it off, I want no part of those dispensers. This is why we buy bottled water and use that. We all have to make decisions that work for each of us.

We see people fill their own water bottles directly from the water dispensers. Does anyone realize these people drink from these same water bottles with their mouths on the rims, spout, etc.????? There is no way the water dispensers don't come in direct contact with these things. Unless they have a dishwasher in their cabin, there is no way this is sanitary. Come on, people!! Have some courtesy for the next guy!!!!!!!! 🤢

Here's a question from a Carnival gift card newbie: can we set up our onboard account as a cash account, apply our Carnival gift card balances once onboard and then switch to a credit card account? We do not have enough on our gift cards to cover all the cruise expenses, such as tips, etc. Would the gift card amounts show up as on board credit, and then we can just have other charges applied to our credit card?
