Other than getting a Fun Ship when we board, I go for the more simple, traditional drinks. My go to is a dirty martini from Alchemy. The bartenders there are so talented . You can tell them what you like or don't like and they'll make you a delicious drink.

I love Fun Ships. It's a cruise tradition to get one as so as we board, but they are super sweet. Adding club soda is genius! Thanks!

Good review. I haven't cruise on an Excel ship. I was under the impression the MG had the smart elevators. Did that not help with the scooters? I cruised once while having to used a non motorized knee scooter. Being on the other side, I can say some people were very rude at the elevators doing everything they could do to get ahead of me. I guess there is a lack of civility with both mobile and non mobile people.

The hubs and I will be celebrating an anniversary on our upcoming cruise. The Carnival website asks you if you will be celebrating anything on the cruise and what day will you like to celebrate it. I don't think you can expect the crew to know your birthday and when you would like for it to be acknowledged.

I am so enjoying your review. I know what its like having to get patted down. I have hardware in my back. Sometimes the alarms go off, sometimes not. When they "wand" me, I show them the spot on my back, it goes off and I'm then I'm good to go.

I love seas days. The ship does a good job with activities. I like the down time. I also like staying on the ship on some port days.

We Had similar issues a few months back. We ended up calling Carnival and she stated they were having issues with using gift cards on line. She was able to apply them for us.

I totally agree about the thalassotherapy pool. The Dream class has the best.

We bought a thermal pass a few cruise ago. It is unlimited access. Since then, we book spa balconies. We're thermal spa junkies. Obviously we think it's worth. We never really find it too busy or crowded. You'll usually find us in the thalassotherapy pool.

I definitely will. I'm going to have my son video it. BTW, I'm not talking about little kids, the grandkids are teenagers. One asked to go on a cruise with us for his birthday. We are beyond excited.

We'll make sure DS has them distracted.

We have 10:30 arriving time. The port shuttle from our hotel only has 2 runs, 9:30 and 1:30. My son is driving down from Orlando and there seems to be a lot of construction along the way so he wants to get a super early start. The plan is to do a geo cashe for the kids to follow and we'll be the the "treasure". We'll be in constant contact with DS via texts.

Haha. I will be wearing a big floppy hat and sunglasses. I'm not so worried about them seeing me, it's the hubs that will probably give it away.

It does make sense, thank you. I'm sure we'll be constantly texting with my son to try to coordinate things.
