  1. I'm just stating what I was told by Captains Club Rep..And he put me on hold to verify his answer. Will see once onboard.

  3. It's a good deal....We usually do a 4-5 nt anyway. Good savings now. Will try the same routine. As soon as we get onboard, we will be trying to book, before the early dining hrs book up. Will try each one, and kinda have an idea where we want to go, and what time. Doesn't always work out totally the way we ask, but they try to help you. In any event I'm likely to go for it, being this trip may be our only BTB on an edge class trip for awhile, till prices calm down, if ever. We originally were booked on Reflection. We were notified of a redeployment, with itinerary change, and were given Beyond instead. Price much higher to go on Beyond, but we got same perks, no price change, same room category, etc. Just switch ships..Good luck in your decision..GO FOR IT. LOL
  4. Yes true what it says, but those uncharges are for the special tasting menus within that restaurant. Not for ordering from the regular menu. Additional on top of additional. Chefs table and Dinner on Edge are not the same as the others. A different experience, at an extra additional cost. Le Voyage, Eden, Steakhouse, La Petite, Le Grand Bistro, Raw on 5, Rooftop, are all included.
  5. So seeing no responses, I called up Captains Club, and got some answers. All the Specialty restaurants onboard, are included in the Unlimited. Regardless of the difference in prices between them. If you enjoy one in particular, and want to do the same one over and over, you can. You must book once onboard, and may choose whichever day and time you want, as long as it's available.
  6. Similar are the stories that our economy is on the rise. Of course it is, exiting the years of covid, and trying to return to normal. Unemployment is going down. Of course it is. because all those receiving free money, had to get a job again. Numbers and polls are questionable, especially info coming out of the parent company, who must embellish whatever they can, to recover from that bad time. Yes, we are still currently booking .. People want to totally get back to pre covid ways...But things are truly different then before, thus causing the gloom and doom attitudes.. MANY MANY people unhappy, amongst all those that are still very happy and willing to take it on the chin, and in the wallet. Just my thoughts, but I'm thinking less will be booking as time progresses.
  7. Hoping to hear from some of you that may have done this. I'm looking to book the Unlimited on Beyond. Flash sale showing 30% off. Does this include all of the Specialty restaurants, or are you limited to which ones you can go to, or how many times you can go to each one? I ask this because they vary a bit in price. Ty in advance...
  8. Yup whatever you just said, but here you are again at the circus....
  9. No semantics...Was making a point as to whom is running the show these days, and whom would be concerned, which they appear not to be, for the most part about anything, anyway.
  10. Seems like an answer for some, but not all. Alot of good discussion for sure, about a very important topic. That's exactly what these boards are for. It's good to hear what others think, for the most part.
  11. It's absolutely insane that we have to consider doing this. The freakin cruise costs enough as it is. We drink at least 10 bottles a day between us. Without the package, the all carte cost is beyond ridiculous. IT'S WATER for goodness sakes.
  12. Just like Royal with the change fee. Perks disappearing, as in OBC, and next you will be paying for a special chip cup to be able to get a soft drink. It took some time but slowly but surely resembling Royal. Soon to be totally alla carte, I'm sure.
  13. Actually, that was a comment by another cruiser, which I liked. And I'm thinking it comes down to what you are willing to accept, once you feel like you have been squatted on. We book according to our experiences of the past. I want the same great experience I had, all those other times. We expected issues during covid restarts. They are still suffering with staff shortages. Yet we enjoyed our trips this past year, but did notice quite a few changes. Nothing extremely earth shattering, but still apparent. But this slowly evolving cutback game is sneaky pool. Once you make final payment, set up excursions, transportation, dining plans, etc, and get onboard, you hope to get the Complete experience you paid for. As there is no turning back at that point. So we will see. I will mentally, and physically, struggle thru the 6 that we have booked until 2/25/25. Silhouette btb, Beyond btb, and Eclipse Bermuda in 2024. Summit is last one booked in 2025. Should get an even better idea of what's going on after these trips. Then some serious Personal Choice as to future travel
  14. Agree 100%. So much for that extra bag of laundry we worked so hard to get.
  15. Good idea...Funny part is the way things are going lately, they would have to be making an announcement every other day, not just 3 months in advance... LOL
  16. The issues, and problems, are well spoken about here. In a nutshell, many, many loyal cruisers are feeling the cutbacks. More and more we see the complaining on here. I personally book way in advance to get better prices, room choices, etc. This often comes with non refundable deposits, of usually btwn $500-$900. Now I see things changing online before I even get there. I read all the complaints from those just getting off the ships. I understand things are subject to change by the cruise line, like itinerary, but not lowering the value of what we paid for. It's like buying, and paying for a car, and when you get it, they decided to save money and remove the steering wheel, because they could. Like someone said in another post. Enjoy the cruises you have booked, and can't change, and look at different options for the future. Unless someone has a better idea.
  17. I've seen highchairs on the ship, but chances are you will see more wheelchairs on Equinox. LOL.
  18. Wife loves them....Shrimp n scallop dynamite for me
  19. I believe you can book ahead of time by calling, but you must pay then. Call and see is your best bet.
  20. Unlimited. 10nt. $536pp plus gratuity added......$1200 or so.....Not so special
  21. Yup. Only because I booked real early, do we have 6 booked till Feb of 2025. We got the lower prices, and the perks, before SHTF...Unless a miracle happens, will be looking at further options...Just as we reached Elite Plus, and get the extra laundry bag. LOL
  22. Upcoming Silhouette BTB..4 and a 10nt...2/24...I'm usually on top of things, but may have dropped the ball on this. Went on Celebrity site to look into booking a dining package, which is our usual thing. So either I'm late to the game, or they are just not offering many options. Or is this another form of cutbacks? For the 10nt, they only offered, 1st nt Lawn Club at a discount, Unlimited Specialty, or a 5nt package. No Tuscan discount 1st nt, no Murano discount 1st nt, and no 3 or 4nt package options at all, like in the past. Possibly they sold out early, which is likely the case. Or maybe this is something new because they want you to go for the Unlimited package, I'm not sure. I also understand things have gone up in price, but a 5nt package for 2, would eat up my entire OBC. The package deal days of $35-$40, are now $50pp. We may try to work a deal out with the dining staff standing outside of Oceanview each day, or it appears we will be heading to MDR or Oceanview a bit more on these trips.
  23. Summit is older, and smaller, but that means nothing. This ship is all about service. Very friendly, professional crew. Always working, cleaning etc. Excellent bar service, and a top rated, award winning buffet. Easy ship to navigate..On our cruises, it was majority 60 yr old plus, as far as passenger age. We have sailed with her many times and are booked again for 2/25...
