  1. Thank you for reporting. We have been so upset about Voyager and of course the tragic situation, it will be nice to also have a normal thread to follow.
  2. It seems like at this point a compromise could be in order….at least a percentage refunded.
  3. Earlier on this topic a poster said they knew 2 couples already in Israel touring before embarking on Voyager, I was hoping of an update of their situation and hopefully well-being.
  4. And that Montreal-Miami cruise had LOTS of rain. First day in NYC was very WET.
  5. We have been on plenty of cruises with changed itineraries and missed ports. We do always take insurance. I personally think this situation is pretty scary. Not sure why me saying that is a problem.
  6. I’m very worried for those travelers that are in Israel expecting to get on ship in a few days. I would personally freak out. I’m praying they are ok.
  7. But if you take more than 1 cruise a year, in your 70’s, preexisting condition coverage is very pricey. We just won’t go to certain parts of the world where we worry about war.
  8. AND extremely expensive. We get insurance that covers preexisting conditions and that is very expensive.
  9. As I’ve read your posts with much interest …I’ve enjoyed a lot…I think I’m glad I’m booked Japan to Alaska. I’ll be fresh in Japan.
  10. We have this cruise booked in reverse and beginning to have worries.
  11. Well, my last 2 cruises assigned boarding times were meaningless. The transport to ship from hotel determined when we arrived and we then got in line.
  12. Is check in at 8pm ET like dining reservations? I don’t remember.
  13. If weather is good…in my opinion there should be a “sail away” at beginning of cruise. And no I’m not new to Regent.
  14. With bar staff offering drinks, etc.
  15. I’m going to disagree a little bit. We’ve never been on a Grand or World cruise but have had some spectacular sail aways. I think depends on location and weather. Our sail aways from NYC, Vancouver, Sydney, and San Francisco have been wonderful (great weather). Port intensive you stop paying as much attention.
  16. It’s on our bucket list. We even have a trip planned to the Yukon next year in the hopes of seeing them.
  17. That would be so exciting! How did you not be fast asleep?
  18. Good advice. We will take some cold and cough medicine on our Mariner cruise. I don’t understand why everything is COVID or RSV …why not assume an old fashion cold until proven differently.
  19. There is a FUN ziprider at Icy straight. The way to zip line for us older ones.
  20. I think I’m going to take some nice small envelopes for those situations we feel gratuities appropriate.
