Thinking of booking the Solstice cruise from Seattle and was wondering which side of the ship would be best to book or does it really matter? Also which month do you prefer and why? Lastly what are the pros and cons of booking the last cruise , repo.(Seattle -Vancouver)? Any other tips or hints? Thanks!

Thinking about our first cruise to Alaska for next summer out of Seattle on EOS. In your opinion, what is the best month to book and also is there a big difference in port or starboard cabins as far as views? What else would you consider as important to know before booking?

Maybe I could afford the "road kill" suite !

I starting reading your review on day one but was interrupted by sailing on the Allure Jan11-18. Had to catch up when I returned and it brought back memories of our sailing. Excellent review so far. I think you would make a great comedy writer or maybe a stand up comedian , hey maybe on a cruise ship? No, keep the day job and keep on cruising so we can be entertained for free with your witty reviews. Thanks and happy sailing!

Thanks for taking the time to do this great review. We are sailing with Royal for the first time in Jan on the Allure so your review has been most helpful. We are Celebrity S-Class fans so we are trying to read everything we can about the Allure before sail date. You should think about trying the Celebrity brand as well some time. Really enjoyed the photographs and thanks for the Cruise Compass! I will now check out your other reviews!

FANTASTIC review! I like a photo heavy review and your's is probably the best I have ever seen. The photos and commentary were really like being there with you. We are sailing on the Allure (Western) in Jan. and I am so glad I found your review early on. It was a great help and thanks for all your hard work and especially the dailies.

We are also on this same cruise! Hopefully all goes well, we are with the kids, in laws, and brother and sister in law and their kids!

I'm on the Jan 4th and Jan 11th sailings BTB and I haven't been able to book any entertainment yet. I check every day though.

Just curious, did you reach the ship via the new tunnel at the port of Miami ?

Great start for another wonderful GAMBEE review ! The ship looks amazing and the prices are reasonable but it looks like they need to decide who they want to attract. Your pictures and commentary were worth the wait . Hope your computer is working now. Can't wait to see more !

I'm glad you are back and that your health has improved ! We would all like to see your picture when you have time to post them. We are also trying RCCL for the first time after getting a great deal on the Allure during the BOGoHO sale. Happy sailing and looking forward to another great review .
