  1. We did the Miracle to Hawaii three months ago. Our debarkation time was scheduled to be 9am. But the ship was actually docked at 7am [maybe earlier, but that was when I woke up and checked] and we were off the ship, waiting for our day tour by 830am. We did self-assist debarkation, which is much quicker than waiting for a zone debarkation.

This might not have been typical, but it is worth consideration. I hope it helps.

Same for us this past January, docked by 7AM and self-assist. We grabbed breafast and off the ship by 8:30 took a cab to the airport and there by 9:30. Had a 12:30 flight.

  2. Title alone will get you views.

Champagne, 2 decks of cards, $400 in casino play and "free drinks on us" card, 2 ships on a stick (won 2 trivia contests), fruit basket with wine, chocolate covered strawberries, luggage tag-USB storage-tumbler-ships photo (pixels), free photo coupon. All on our last Miracle cruise.

  3. You get priority debarkation with a suite.

This is so. Are you "tendering" at any ports? Does having your room ready when you board and your suitcases delivered earlier do anything for you. Not sure about being able to use the Platinum line at GS is beneficial with the new kiosks available. Just some things to think about.

  4. I don't believe you can "sign" up to be in this one.....

I believe the trick is to get there early and get seats up front.

Almost like The Price is Right. I think you have to scream and go crazy to get picked.:eek:

    lol

    Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

And, like others have said, she will NOT be bored.

    Sooooooooooo much to do.:D:D:D

Yep, that's the way it works.

  5. Not anymore.. each person gets an invitation that gets collected at the door.

Was this a recent change? Guess as DW and I both get invitations, both are Gold, I did not notice. Do remember that we cruised with newbies a few years ago and we each took one of them and it was allowed/authorized.

  6. If you don't care where your stateroom is located, you could wait. We did this for our first cruise but since then we have booked early so that we can select our deck and room before everything is filled and the selection is minimal.

Also dinner times in the MDR may fill up for your prefered time, Late or Early or Anytime.

  7. Have a wonderful cruise on Freedom! We will be waiting for your review when you return, and hopefully you can post some photos showing those 2.0 and other upgrades.

Ditto. Still waiting for a review with photo's since 2.0.

  8. i'm a gold member but this is my friends 1st cruise. my question is will she be able to participate in the activities for vifp on this 5 day cruise? does anyone know when it would take place this will be my first 5 day cruise being gold.

    thanks,

    stephanie

Each "Gold" member can bring 1 guest to the events. You can bring her as a guest.

  9. AFT - view is much better, but not as private and we got lots of movement and vibration compared to mid ship

Midship - calmer, not as noisy, more privacy between balconies but the view is not the best with life boats below and the ship coming out either side.

In saying that, I opted for midship over aft for our Legend cruise later this year.

This past January we were in #7206, midship extended port side, on the Miracle. Was calmer, no noise, limited sun, 4 hours per day. I would book midship extended again, was nice to have the extra room.

  10. While I am sure you can get away with smoking e-cigs in your cabin and other areas of the ship, Carnival policy for smoking is the same for e-cigs as it is for regular cigs.. They consider them the same...

On the Miracle this past January I witnessed passengers being asked not to use their E-cigs in non-smoking areas by crew members.

  11. I've been on the Freedom twice, though not since the upgrades.

I had a balcony cabin both times on the Lido deck. All balcony cabins have a small refrigerator. If you have bottled water to keep cold, you will have to empty the mini bar liquors, beers and soda they put in there.

Sometimes your room steward will take them or you can just put them on the counter.

I've never had 4 in a cabin so not sure about the couch.

About the safe in the cabin, they are in all cabins.

    Hope that helps

Refrigerator keeps items cool, not cold. Safe, is the card swipe variety.

  12. Anyone receive the premium bon voyage package from the players lately?..Is it still a fruit basket with wine plus a few other goodies ?

Received it this past January on the Miracle. Also included a free picture and a bottle of water plus chocolate covered strawberries.

  13. I'm torn....They just changed my March 21st sailing to 2 PV, 1 Cabo. Then I noticed they added more dates in April to include Mazatlan.

April is cheaper (consideration) and when I called, they said I could change my date, penalty free, but I had to do it today.

I don't know if I should change it....

What's better? 2 days in PV or an addition of Mazatlan and 1 day in PV.

    IMHO, addition of Matzatlan.
