yikes the only time i want to see any snow on a cruise is if its on a mountain top doing the Alaska itinerary!!
I really hope it warmed up quickly for you!!
Or at the mountain top observatory in Hawaii.

Are you in an aft extended or midship?
-
The Breeze, Freedom, and Liberty do the Southern route from Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and soon to be, Port Canaveral. Southwest has great fares to FLL and MCO. Check it out. Good Luck!!!!:D
Agree. We usually book the cruise a year in advance and airfare about 4 months out.

These days that's not excessive, with digital photography. We just did a 15 day to Hawaii and I took 700 pics. Would have been more, but we were at sea for 9 days.
Same here only I took 1600, multiple whale signtings. Even with missing Kona due to high seas. Got to love digital.

I just ordered champagne for an upcoming cruise and the limit is 2 bottles per room. I'm also bringing my 1 bottle per person onboard :)

Yep, 2 bottles per room. I have seen posts where others have claimed that they waited a week or so after they placed their first order and placed a second order for 2 more.

Sorry you didn't enjoy the ship. The Miracle is one off my favorite ships and had a great experience in Oct so much so that I booked the same itinerary again.

Sorry your experience was not the best. We were just on the Miracle to Hawaii this past January and had a great time. Great crew and even though the ship was showing some wear we found the ship in great shape for her age. We were on her once before and neither time were we disapointed in the least.

Agreed.
Same here. Plus, as we cruise with our best friends, Carnival is the only line we have found that will open the balcony dividers unlike other lines.
-
For me it would be cheaper to get it myself, but by the time I wake up the Lido buffet is a madhouse. Also there are no trays on the Miracle so rounding up a bunch of stuff for the roomies is really hard now. For me it is a well spent 3-5 dollars.
Just hold onto the tray from your room service order and use it the rest of the cruise for you trips to the buffet. Make sure your room steward knows not to take it when they clean your cabin.

Exactly this!
No "gym" shorts though. Friend we cruise with was turned away because he had gym shorts on our last cruise, had to return to their cabin and change.

As others have already stated.....(just wanted to elaborate)
Fort Lauderdale is the BEST BEST EASIEST EASIEST port to cruise from.....
Taxi 100%
Agree, $20 for the 4 of us (three times now so far) and only 10 minutes.

Wow that's a lot of free laundry and Tervis Tumblers. Enjoy.

Cash for exemplary service, beyond what is required/expected. Also if there is any Bon Voyage alcohol left I ask the steward if he or his team would like it.

We had a totally different experience than Freedom2014.
We did a B2B on Liberty this past January.
Other than being disappointed in the new menu with lack of a variety of soups and not as many dessert choices, there were some good entrees to choose from.
Liberty still had the full 10-piece orchestra and production shows.
We're booked on Freedom for January 2015 with another B2B - Western & Southern. That will be our 1st experience with The Playlist Productions. Hope I'm not too disappointed.
When in January? We were thinking of doing the same. Duh,guess I should have paid attention to your countdown clocks. These are the same dates we are considering.

Mexican Riviera is ok, but I do prefer the Caribbean ports - particularly Southern Caribbean ports.
The trouble with Mexican Riviera in Feb, is that it might be cold for more than half of the cruise until you get far enough south, which takes about a day or so.
As far as ports, Cabo is pretty developed but is fun. We filled up the 2 port days there with fun activities. The whale watching there is probably one of the best spots in the world and February is right in the middle of whale watching season. Humpback, Blue and Grey whales will be there. The humpbacks are curious and came right up to the boat we were on.
Puerto Vallarta is very nice too. There is plenty to do and see and is one of those ports I decided to return to for a land-based vacation some time. There is a (non Carnival) tour that brings you out to swim with the dolphins in the wild. There are plenty of nice restaurants in town too, or places to see outside of town.
It is a nice cruise, but I do prefer the more port-intensive cruises in the Caribbean. My favorite cruises of all time are the Southern Caribbean cruises out of San Juan. Nothing beats those in my mind.
Agree about the Caribbean. When we did the Mexican Riveria, see my sig, they offered far better, IMHO, itineraries. Not sure I would enjoy just the 2 ports that they now offer.

I do not want to start my vacation being stressed out wondering if I'll make it or not.
We always fly in two or three days before.
Same here. Have only been delayed once ,connecting flight in Atlanta due to ice, but we cruise in January from Minnesota, lots could go wrong. Always plan something for the city we are in preceeding the cruise, helps get us into vacation mode.

Room service is free and tips are appreciated. You can order whatever you want.
You can order drinks through room service as well. But you will be charged the same as if you ordered them at a bar.
Drinks with alcohol are charged for, coffee, tea, juice are free.

Did the same cruise this past January, had a great time even though we could not tender into Kona due to rough sea's. Was our second cruise on the Miracle, great ship with a great crew. Loved the 8 sea days.
-
Also, if you wish, you can order your favorite alcohol from the Fun Shop on the first leg and it will be delivered to your cabin the last night of that leg making it available for your second leg. Enjoy.

We cruise every January and there are very few teens. Lots of toddlers and babies. Most teens aren't able to leave school, clubs, jobs or athletics at that time of year.
A cruise a year ago they told us there were about 80 under-18s on board, half of them being under the age of 4.
This past January they said there were just under 200 under-18s, the majority of which were under 12. I probably saw maybe a dozen 13-17 year-olds.
Same thing we have noticed.

Double Jack water, especially once you find a bartender with a "good" pour.
-
Beach starts at the end of the pier, all free. Head further to your left down the Beach and the drinks get cheaper and the beach less crowded.

Foster's still is the best deal, but barely now thanks to the dollar increase from 6.75 per beer to 7.75. The bucket price went from 28.75 to 33.35 in one increase!
When did this happen?
-
Used to be the best bang for your buck was a bucket of Foster's...
Still is.

Either or. Wait a couple of minutes and check your cruise manager -- all information should be there.
We do the same, online. Check back a few minutes later and verify.
