  1. Not on a ship yet, but it does fit comfortably beside other normal Aussie plugs (using the Aus/Japan adaptor) and charged just fine. We always carry our Aus/Euro & Aus/US double adaptors just in case, and bring normal phone charger. So far these have worked on Princess, HAL, P&O Aus & RCI. We travel overseas regularly and have yet to have a problem with these. As to the new gadget - we’ll see on the 26th. These Korjo ones:
  2. Yep it sure is 👍 But we are in a suite and since they put the flat screen tvs on the walls, there are PowerPoints behind where the tvs were, so can use it. (Either Euro or US - US just charges slower). We have a multitude of international adaptors and chargers - I just liked the simplicity of this one.
  3. I got this one from Amazon - it has slide in/out travel plugs as well as a USB port for hubbys 12.9” iPad (USB-C), 2 normal USB ports and one max charge USB (??). Saves the power cord and will try to find a Euro outlet to use it on.
  4. Pain huh? It was a Noordam cruise too that we got the same note about DH’s suitcase - down to Guest Services to get the case out of jail because of …… a suspicious rechargeable shaver 🙄 Have no idea what they thought it was on the X-ray machine 🤣😂
  5. I’m sure they will - check out Cairns next week, we LOOOOVE this time of year up here!!
  6. No you aren’t - you are about to cruise - way above commoner to us 🤩🥳
  7. Just a note on packing - up north we are actually getting that cold snap now too, pack some warm clothes too - just in case. Though 10 at night and 24 during the day probably isn’t cool/cold to you - but for us spoilt Nth Qlder - 🥶
  8. Ooooh - I love buying suitcases!! We are a week behind you, thinking about packing now 🙄 Enjoy 👏🥂
  9. We were on the one just before THE Ruby cruise - though it did get us on the ship with both photos and passports uploaded, ordered drinks anywhere on the ship - though it was quicker to get drinks yourself - opened door, purchased things on board and got us off and on. I also managed to discharge mine on two occasions and had to get replacements - don’t store your Medallion anywhere near a magnet. 😳 Only new things we have noted really is boarding & dining times and the Covid related stuff, which is I think where all the problems begin, so many rules and regs for IT to deal with, in so many places - feel for them when I think about it. But, only days now and you will be able to tell us all about it 👏👏
  10. Morning - another one to add to your Q&A if you will - please; Cabin power points - are they US/EU, or did they manage to add an AUS outlet? You may have to talk to the “common folk” in balcony and oceanview etc to double check - though if your suite doesn’t have AU outlet, pretty sure no other cabins will 🙄 Even a photo for the “non believers” (sure they have been changed to AU) will help the cause 🤞 Thanks in advance 🤗 (if this is on your ‘to check’ list already, please ignore 😎) Cheers, Rose.
  11. The Insta video says she is the first Princess ship to bring Medallion cruising to Aus - not true! Poor old Ruby was medallion cruises as probably was Majestic in 2020.
  12. sj_cavy: If you are referring to Club Class over not Club Class (CC) - this option is available when you book a mini suite only. We have CC on the 26th June cruise because DH (Dear Husband) wanted to try it out.
  13. Isn’t it just heated by the fact that it is covered by a glass roof which in turn would act like a solar blanket? Curious ……… 🤔
  14. Hilarious 😂🤣 thought you lived nearby. Others have taken up the challenge and have come through - 👏👍
  15. If you make it to this cruise by; photos will be much appreciated 🙏 As the kids say - TIA 😉
  16. Agree entirely about the things that are included and not included. My only real gripe is if you look at the things they DO charge for, you can see a particular market in the frame. I do have grandchildren and rarely do their parents say no. So, IF you were cruising as a new generation family aboard the “family friendly P&O Aus” best load the wallets and CC’s. Can’t see them changing this any time soon as obviously it’s been like this for some years. Just replying to an earlier comment about not being aware of extra charges on the p&o ships. I’m surprised at just how many things they do charge for compared to say Royal 🤔
  17. This is all well and good for us mature thinkers, but p&o is targeted at the young with young families, don’t know about you but it’s pretty hard to say no to the current generation of littlees. 🙇🏻‍♀️
  18. Just trawled the actual P&O Aus forum and found this thread from 2017: (sorry - can’t work out how to link it to here) Can P&O Be Serious With Pacific Explorer Add On Charges? Where they itemise and complain loudly about the onboard charges 🙄 so it’s nothing new. And if you go onto p&o home page and trawl ‘entertainment’ you’ll be very surprised - just to say that I’m glad I’m not a young family booked on any future P&O cruises. Very expensive!!!! We are sticking to Princess for now.
  19. Some one who cruised P&O prior to Covid might confirm this - I thought there was a charge on P&Os Adult Show - also called / or at Black Circus? But it was a show & meal from memory. Anyone ………… ?
  20. Like Arxcards - wouldn’t go to see the act on shore, wouldn’t bother on a ship. But didn't they pay for that Adult Only dinner / cabaret on P&O before Covid?
