Thanks.

No cheerleader here either and I agree with you over the saver fares not being as low as previous years. Bargains can still be had on some cruises eg Ventura N509 for 13N on 12 April has been £749 for a balcony.
Also agree with the price of cruises on Princess.

I read it as you can choose your cabin & the offer applies to selected cruises. ie. It could be a cruise on any ship in the fleet & not just Britannia. They don't make some of their offers easy to understand do they?
Hello.
Off topic but I recognised your name from a few years ago. Out of interest do you still run WLC?
-
Witty.

Just wait till the blokes get going.
Johny Jockstrap and Charlie Codpiece?
David.
That made me laugh.

Any relation to Lynn Knickers.:D:D:D

I just got the biscuit thing so I won't even ask what priority crumbles are. Sounds like a good thing to get the crumbles if you are a priority boarder:p
I like your style.:)
-
Gone are the Priory Crumbles etc. new ones are so thin we rarely had a packet where at least one of the two wasn't broken - sometimes both of them. Still good to have biscuits with tea/coffee making things but a shame the quality of the biscuits is so poor.
Never seen Priory Crumbles but people do rave about them. Maybe I should have started cruising earlier in life.;)

Yes, cookie.

Yes, I like a biscuit with my morning cup of tea.

And while we are on the topic....
As discussed many times on here.... passengers not sanitising or washing their hands after the loo also extends to the gym.
There is a plentiful supply of pre soaked hygeine wipes or dry towels and sanitising fluid in spray bottles which you are supposed to use when you get off the equipment as a courtesy to the next user - this often does not happen.
Obviously, you are quoting from your experience which must include your favourite cruise lines.
NCL = posting privileges withdrawn for a week.;););)

I love the freedom of opening the balcony door!
My thoughts exactly.
-
It's official - I have just had an e-mail from P&O - well done you clever people who had guessed! :)
And I thought it would be P&O Lynne Knickers.;););)

ST KITTS - In the port area there is a nice bar above the casino serving an excellent LIIT. Not far to walk back(stagger) to the ship.:):)

Apology accepted - matter now closed. The apology we are waiting for is from you.
David.
I think we will wait and wait and wait...

We have done 3 repositioning TA's, 2 with Princess & 1 with RCCL. The latter was from Miami to Barcelona whilst the former was one from Southampton to NY and the other to Barbados.
The NY trip went via Greenland and we went through Prins Christian Sund on the southern tip of Greenland. That was excellent and not many ships use that route now.
As a previous poster has said Bar Harbor, Newport(Rhode Island) were very good ports to visit as was St. John's (Canada).
Can't remember any loonies or undesirables apart from us.:rolleyes:

The only TA we have done was last October on Ventura. Boarding at Malaga meant it was already boiling hot and it continued thus until St Maarten. We found ourselves with a daily routine. Sunbeds were hogged until mid afternoon so "played (badly)" quoits every morning (good laugh and a chance to chat), we joined the choir (good fun) and practice was 13.00 every day. Lunch after choir. Usually got sunbeds for a couple of hours ( too hot for any longer). Swam in the front pool and dried off in the sun with a nice glass (or two) of something till the sun moved around. Then time for kip, shower, dinner and show. Having a 6 day crossing is extremely relaxing but of course it wouldn't be if we were calling for Bill and Hughie on the great white telephone. The state of the weather has a great impact on lots of things we do on a daily basis anyway and more so on a cruise. Can't remember meeting any Loonies - perhaps we are Loonies, oh my, there's a thought. It was quite a good price that cruise, perhaps that means we are one of "those people".....
What people critising P&O forget is that it is a British company whose passengers are mostly Brits. Money or lack of it does not necessarily predict how people will behave. Just walk down the average British high street. I rest my case your Honor.
Superb post. I have driven the porcelain bus on a few occasions.:D

My only rule for ANY Gym is avoid at all costs!:)
Same here.

At the HI ask to join their cruise club and if you use this hotel in the future you should get a discount.
-
Just as a side issue, does anybody know whether cars remain in the hotel car parks for the duration of the cruise or are they moved and parked up elsewhere? If they are moved, where do they go? I can't imagine the hotel car parks are large enough to act as long term cruise car parks as well as serving their day to day hotel clientele.
I have stayed and parked at both the Holiday Inn and the Dolphin Hotel. The former do not take your keys and obviously the car does not move whilst the latter do take your keys but as far as I'm aware they are not moved off the site but are all grouped in one area of the car park.

The solutions are simple
Pay to book seats on charter
Pay to upgrade to premium seats on charter
Pay to fly scheduled
Please can you explain what Pay to fly scheduled has to do with this topic :confused:Perhaps I should have made it clearer that I was referring to P&O charter flights

Not a comment on any of the foregoing posts but there is a big difference being fit(gym) and being healthy.
