  1. Thanks for the info! 🙂
  2. This is very interesting, can you use it at sea and on land? I'm assuming just land?
  3. I was looking for that myself as we are heading on a 9 day cruise but I can't find it. Do you happen to have a link?
  4. Yep, they do. I just did a free cabin last week and have another one in November. All due to casino play. Free is a relative term, you have to put down $200 each which is returned in cabin credits. You do have to pay tax and port fees. We joined Club Orange and did the Have It All program on the week long cruise we just took. We played a lot on the last cruise to get better cabin offers in the future. lol
  5. I'm on a 14 day Panama Canal full transit in November. Tried the health protocol lookup tool (https://book2.hollandamerica.com/protocols/) on the HAL site for my voyage and this is what I got back. Standard Protocols Vaccination Requirements We highly recommend all guests be up to date on their vaccination status. Vaccinations, however, are not required. Testing Requirements Fully vaccinated guests are not required to take a COVID test prior to embarkation. Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated guests 5 years of age and older are required to take a COVID test prior to embarkation PCR COVID-19 test within 3 days before embarkation Medically observed or self-administered at home COVID-19 antigen test within 3 days before embarkation. Whoo hoo!!! I still have the dang Binax test so that's $40 down the drain, but $40 I'm happy to lose. 🙂 Nice catch and thank you!! 🙂
  6. Thank you in advance for all you wonderful people who are familiar with this and being so helpful! We board this weekend in Boston. Our first Canadian stop is in Halifax on the 12th. We finish in Montreal on the 17th. What port do I put in my ArrivCan? I am assuming Halifax but I don't know the name of the terminal? I don't need to do a second one to leave, correct? Thank you soooo much!!
  7. HAL did that the last two cruises, but it was tough the first two days even though I, like this time, gave them the info in advance. Once we got settled with a waiter and the nightly menu, there was rarely a dish they couldn't fix for me without bacon, ham, smoked cheese, smoked paprika, etc. It's an odd allergy and while a chef gets it immediately, it takes awhile of playing Q&A with the wait staff to get a chef involved and then it always seems to work out. 🙂 Same on Celebrity and RC, eventually I get the menu and it all goes well. I just see a lot more "smoked" mentions than I have in the past so it always concerns me. Is eating dessert for dinner bad? 😉
  8. Thank you so much for this live thread! We embark on the Zaandam in 6 days so this was great. As I have an allergy to a sulfate in liquid smoke, I'm a little concerned about the menu seeming to be heaving on the smoke flavors but I'm hoping it will be ok. I've lived on rolls and fruit before. lol 🙂
  9. We are on this cruise in two week! Looking forward to your insights and comedy. lol Any daily activity sheets or menu pics are super appreciated. 🙂
  10. We got this one too but didn't want to do Alaska. We booked New England with a $250 casino credit and a free Verandah room. The only problem is that the Zaandam didn't have any verandah rooms so we had to take a free ocean view instead.
  11. Sailing in November on the Zuiderdam in November on a Panama Canal 14-day sailing. Does the Zuiderdam have freestyle machines? Still trying to figure out if I should get the soda package or quench package. Not big alcohol drinkers but I am fond of flavored seltzer. 🙂 Thanks! 🙂
