  1. We are on the July 30th Liberty of the seas in a Grand Suite. I have heard that you are suppose to receive an email from the concierge to welcome us and ask if we need anything. We want to book a cabana at bear foot beach in Labadee. As of yet we haven't heard from him. Does anyone know when we could expect this email?

It's usually the week before your cruise you should get the letter. I'm sure you are anxious and wondering why you haven't heard from them yet, but keep in mind, they are very busy with the guests they have onboard right now and the new ones coming next week !

  2. If you want all the suite perks, go with a GS or above. A JS only gets you double cruise points. We were on Allure in the beginning of April in a GS and saw both ice shows during the day and saw the main Aqua show during the day. There was another water show.......can't remember the name but that was during the day also. If you do book a full suite, you still need to make show reservations and show up to them at least 20 minutes early. There are special seating area for both shows ( ice and aqua) but if there are empty seats they open them up to the general public just before each show ! You will be able to book your show reservations prior to your cruise......I can't remember how far out, but keep checking your reservation planner. You can also wait till you get onboard and book with the concierge , if there is anything left.

  3. Not a suite guest, but considering luggage valet? How much time can it save you with disembark?? Is this a good option with an early flight????

Luggage valet is a Godsend ! Normally on Oasis, your flight has to leave after 11:30 AM.....that ensures your luggage makes it from the ship to the airport on time. You still have to go thru customs when you leave the ship, but you are luggage free and won't see it till you arrive at your home airport. This saves time at FLL also, as you already have your boarding pass !

  4. Hello all.

So what is the recommended tip amount for both dining and the room attendant? I think as a suite holder (On Oasis) more is expected and I want to be fair.

Also...maybe a strange question but I had read that pre-tipping...by giving a tip on the first day...could make them feel extra special.

    Any thoughts, tips, opinions?

    Thanks

We have been doing the MTD for awhile, so our tips are taken out in advance, but we still take cash for the room attendant and our waiters and room service.

  5. We were on the Freedom this past April and the suite/Pinnacle made to order breakfast area is now in Chop's on deck 11. It moved there after the recent Freedom refurb. Giovanni's is now the D+/Diamond overflow dining room for the Windjammer.

Thank you cruisin4kicks, looks like they just switched areas ! Portifino's ( Giovanni's ) was the suite area, and Chops was for D & D+.

  6. I apologize for asking, I know we will get an Email from the concierge but the lack of knowing is killing me! Can any recent suite guest tell me where you were able to have breakfast on Freedom? We used to go to Portifino's , but now its been changed to Giovanni's , or does Giovanni's let you have a made to order breakfast there ? I'm hoping they offer more than just Chops. Thanks in advance !

  7. Thanks everyone! I told him to do it but they were busy getting house ready for sale and today slipped up on him. Glad to know tomorrow should still be smooth sailing[emoji12]

Make sure you are ahead of them in line ! They may be awhile, and you can meet them at one of the bars, where I'm sure they will buy you a drink !

  8. Hello, just wanted to add my two cents. We were called on Friday by Celebrity and told our Oct 3rd cruise was chartered and we needed to switch to the Oct. 23rd cruise....our only option for the same cruise. We did receive $100 OBC and were able to get the same room we originally had booked for the same price. I did receive an Email later that night with a more detailed explanation of why this happened !

  9. It's so much fun to stir the pot a little, thank you all for your thoughts on fixing the worlds problems, but its obvious you have missed my point in my post ! If you are having problems with kids in the solarium or crowded venues, put your big boy pants on and find someone with a white uniform on with gold bars on it and complain to them ! As we all have stated, life could be so much worse !

  10. Also for #1, try the aft decks below the flow rider . It's a very relaxing view, you can get lost in the waves. For #3, you can't go wrong with chops, and whatever your waiter recommends will be delicious ! As far as what to wear at dinner, we've literally seen thousands of cruisers who wear "formal" jeans and t- shirts so your attire won't be a problem.i do the rock wall on every cruise...you will love it ! Please try the red pegs on the far right side of the wall... Good luck ! As for Labadee, we get a cabana , if you are able, its a great way to spend the day ! Enjoy your cruise, we are counting down for our Freedom cruise also !

  11. Just a thought, but since Saturday, we've had severe flooding and people have been displaced from their homes. Along with that, a cold front has moved into NY and we have heaters going to keep warm ! So you have kids in he solarium and dinner was crowded......like I said, just a thought, but you're on the Allure ! Forgive me if I don't feel your pain !
