  1. Thank you. I will pack both the night light and my battery operated motion detection light, which we have been using successfully.
  2. Thank you! My wife said she has a basket full of the standard plug nightlights. I appreciate your help.
  3. I am going to buy a little inexpensive night light and try it on our next cruise. If it works, I will feel really silly for overlooking it all these years simply because it looks different than a normal outlet. But I will report back. Thanks for your help time4utogo and brillo.
  4. It doesn't look standard in the actual photo that I found, but maybe Ms Brillo is saying a standard night light with two prongs will fit into those two round holes? Like this one.
  5. On all ships? I thought that the Explorer's razor outlet looked like a European outlet with small round holes.
  6. It was your suggestion to do this. What light do you plug into the odd outlet for razors?
  7. Where do you find one that fits the socket? Nevermind, I ordered the one recommended by weluv above. Seems very convenient.
  8. "Sometimes" was my disclaimer. Transatlantics and repositioning can be found for $50ish/day. Alaska is another place where you can find bargains. Vancover to Hawaii only cost us $300/each a couple years ago. No ports = no port fees!
  9. But Joe says they should share the profits. 😃 (The only time our bags did not show up was the time we forgot to carry cash at boarding to tip the porter. 50+ cruises. A fluke? I think not. Btw, when we finally found them in front of a cabin at the other end of the ship, our tags were missing.)
  10. And sometimes that hot soup doesn't smell very nice. Sent an entire bag of tshirts and undies out on the Explorer and could not stand the odor. If it happens again, I would ask for a do over.
  11. Do you stiff bar tenders and cabin attendant also?
  12. Neither, unfortunately. Pick up one of those small night lights which comes on with movement and off when you leave. Inexpensive and easy to pack. Lowes or HomeDepot.
  13. I had no idea that people still want to go to Disney. I can take a cruise for 2 with that $1,000. Sometimes that's enough for 14 nights!
  14. It's below the Sapphire dining room, so could be crew quarters.Or where they store the sails. No deck plan for 1.
  15. No, but I can't figure out how to change my user name. Do you?
  16. You can change the enforced policy just like it was changed on RCL. Start wearing shorts to MDR and if that works, add a ball cap. If staff doesn't object, you will officially be game changer! Others will follow.
  17. Wear whatever you like. No one cares, especially staff. Those days are long past.
  18. This is not good for stock holders. The pissed off customer will not come back. They will get comfortable with the new cruise that they trief and Royal will start all over with new customers.
