What a fantastic live report and photos! Thank you @Norwaylady and Mr Norway for taking us along on your vacation. I enjoy your writing style and your positive outlook - "it is not the underground" 😊. Have a safe trip home, and I look forward to reading another report of yours.

There are a few itineraries I have my eye on and have saved screenshots of the current fares. I am waiting to see the Black Friday specials before booking. Does anyone know when these will be posted?

I am enjoying your cruise @Norwaylady I had a chuckle at the "broomstick" 😁

Feeling sad along with you that this adventure is coming to an end. You visited some of my favourite places in the Med. Thank you Charla and Jeremy for sharing your vacation with us. Have a safe trip home.

The taxi situation can be similar in most cities in Europe. We have found asking the hotel to get us one when going out and the restaurant when returning has had better results.
This was the best solution for us last year July when we spent a couple of days in Athens before our cruise, after experiencing two instances of aggression by cab drivers and extortionate fares.

I have heard that since the currency changed from the Kuna to the Euro prices are much higher. I suppose 15 years ago Croatia was still up and coming and prices were reasonable. I think for prices like that Albania might be a good shout. I noticed the ferry going there from Corfu was very busy!
We went last year, when they were still using the kuna. I had an Aperol Spritz (or two, or three...) at every port over our 14-day Eastern Med cruise. The price of a glass in Dubrovnik was at least a third more expensive as everywhere else.

DUBROVNIK
Prices in Dubrovnik old town are extortionate.
This will be an unpopular opinion,I’m sure, but Dubrovnik was probably my least favourite port of the trip. While the old town within the walls is drop-dead gorgeous, there isn’t a lot to it. Yes we could have walked the walls for half an hour but for €35 a person. I think not. Cable car? Again totally overpriced. Coffee/coke… not at those ridiculous prices. €5,90!!!! I could get a cappuccino in Italy for half the price. I just felt like tourists were getting completely ripped off and it left a sour taste in my mouth.
Dubrovnik Verdict
As it is, all I will ever remember about Dubrovnik is how overpriced it was.
Agree with your verdict on Dubrovnik. Could even add more. Enjoying your review, thanks for taking the time to write it, @Scottishclover.

Thank you very much @Ken the cruiser for this live report. Two of my sisters were on the Diamond Princess in April and in June, but they did not provide live reports 😊. Like you, they are retired. A Japan cruise is definitely in my future. Safe trip home! Looking forward to your next cruise so I can tag along again.

Thiis was a new itinerary for me to experience, which made me extremely excited to visit new places to adventure and explore. I am now considering the idea of maybe I should continue doing these blog like live threads for my upcoming cruises, as I have my Alaska sailings coming up in about 2 weeks time!?!? I've done that trip for 9 seasons and sailings to Caribbean more times than I can count, but if others find it informative enough, I may just do so.
Thank you @Jeter02 for taking us along. It has been a joy to learn about this amazing itinerary through your eyes. I hope you do a thread for your Alaska voyage, and if you do, please post a link here. Safe trip home.

Thank you very much Ken for sharing another adventure with us. It was particularly interesting to read this review because we were just on Dawn over Christmas and New Year. Key West was dropped for us 😔 and Dominican Republic was replaced with San Juan. On disembarkation day we were stuck at sea for several hours as we couldn't get into Tampa because of fog. We only arrived in the evening. People missed their flights, but we got an extra day of cruising, and it was daytime when we sailed under the Sunshine Skyway Bridge behind Royal Caribbean and Celebrity, which was awesome. Looking forward to reading your next review.

It seems the jockey has gone awal on the home straight of this Live review! I had fully intended to finish the review and do a wrap up when I got home.
Best laid plans and all, I've arrived home with a departure gift. After 3 years of dodging the Rona, Fin and I have finally succumbed. At least we didn't come down with it during the cruise and let's face it we could have got it at the airport or on the plane. At least we haven't been flooded like the poor folks in Auckland.
I hope to come back in the next couple of days to complete the review and answer any outstanding questions. In the meantime, another sleep might be in order. Stay tuned.
That's terrible news about the unwelcome visitor. Hope both of you have a speedy recovery. Don't worry about rushing back here to complete the review. Getting better is your priority.
