  1. Thanks very much and it’s still helpful to get a glimpse 😀. Will zoom in with my iPad 😀. This is the first photo I’m seeing of that area almost totally uncovered. Thank again and much appreciated.
  2. Looks like they also have a few areas to still paint on the Starboard side,
  3. Thanks for the link. Hopefully this helps with the section within the yellow area. Thanks much.
  4. Thanks for the heads up on the new photos by Finki. Initially I thought could be how the light was reflecting on the bow making it seem white again. But then from other angles it looked blue. So I do agree with you that now it definitely looks blue. Do either you or Finki have a closed up photo of the forward suites cabins on deck 16 and 17 starboard side that are shareable here or on IG? Thanks. The suite cabins close to the Aquadome have been covered up for a long time. Curious to see the area uncovered since my cabin is in that area 😀 As always appreciate you sharing info and your spectacular photos. Must be my timing but I thought you guys were out there again earlier today. 😀. If I ever make it over there I will definitely by you guys a drink at a minimum.
  5. A few days ago it appeared that the the front top of the bow was blue but now it’s white again. Maybe it was an illusion with the lighting around. I do like the white though. Thanks for the new photos.
  6. Nice! It looked like a beautiful day out there too and with that amazing sunset. Many thanks again.
  7. I thought I saw you out there yesterday when I checked the webcam (bottom right corner )😀. But in all seriousness, as always thanks for sharing your amazing photos with us here.
  8. Hahaha 😀. You think having Utopia doing the 3/4 out of PC would be enough but stranger things have happened before when it comes to Royal. Also, didn’t Odyssey start some sailings from PC before moving to PE?
  9. From the same article you referenced by Christoph Assies Quote (translated) “It took six years to develop the different cabins on board According to Raimund Gschaider, Vice President Hotel Operations at Royal Caribbean, efficient passenger routing was above all design options. Two gangways were deliberately provided for boarding in the main ports of Miami and Port Canaveral, which can be used to board up to 2,500 guests per hour. The lifts from a Finnish manufacturer are intended to steer people by driving them directly to the decks with the restaurants and bars at peak times without making any stops. "The guest then has to get used to the routes of the lifts a bit," explains Gschaider” Does the section I put in bold suggest something for PC and if not for Icon perhaps next in the series? There is lots of interesting info in that article including this - Quote (translated) “Infinity pool and swim-up bar on the world's largest cruise ship Part of the total of eight "neighborhoods" are also a total of seven pools, as in "Chill Island". There are four swimming and paddling opportunities here alone. Among them is "Swim & Tonic", the first so-called swim-up bar of the shipping company. The guests sit there on bar stools standing in the water. At the stern is "The Hideaway". A beach club feeling with a sea view should arise here. The central element is the first "floating" infinity pool at sea. The comparatively large number of pools, some in places where they had not previously been installed on other cruise ships, presented the makers of the Icon of the Seas with further challenges. “When the ship moves, the water moves too and we had to build barriers accordingly. We then combined the technical necessity with an attractive design so that the passenger does not even notice the technical aspect,” explains Iina Jokinen. The result is “islands” in the pool landscapes or benches within the pools for the passengers, who simultaneously control the water movements.”
  10. This is a good video from Maritime Reporter TV. It recaps the build process from the start to current.
  11. New video from Xplorer Media. It appears they have removed some of the covering from the outside of the dome.
  12. Great images indeed. Sometimes I look at those Bridge Wings and think, hmmm! perhaps there could be a chance they will add outside access. It’s hard to tell though given all the images we seen thus far.
  13. not much have happened lately (except for the interior but well, I have no access to that), but here is some random photos from last and this month. They have attached some anchor chains to the starboard side of the ship, but no anchor yet. Oh wow, those are fantastic! Very cool/beautiful arial photos and some nice closeup shots as well. Thanks very much for sharing these photos.
  14. @Eremita85 Do you have any new construction photo updates that you don’t mind sharing here? Thanks
  15. Didn’t realize they were building the lifeboats in China. I thought Mayer used another builder in Europe.
  16. I don’t think many heard of it then. Otherwise they would have updated the Current Captain List here on CC. Do we know who the other Captain is yet? Thanks
  17. Very good info. It made me think about some cabins our group has on Icon. How is it on Icon for say the D2 and D4 balcony cabins? Thanks
  18. Another senior Captain missing from the rotation for some time is Capt Charles Tiege .
  19. The vessel MERIAURA has been involved in many of the RCI ship block transportation including those of Icon captured by @Eremita85
