  1. I am so sorry! What a let down! Especially since you both tested negative earlier. 😞 There will be other cruises...what really matters is that you both get well soon...health comes first.
  2. And you are just too darned cute to be told to leave anyway. 😉 Go for it...I would continue to use it if I were you. 🙂
  3. Was told by employees at the port that JR suites can access the suites check in line, but the "Suites" waiting area is for full suites (GS and above) and Pinnacles. There was a man checking before you entered suites area last Saturday on Mariner. I had to show that I was suite AND Pinnacle.
  4. Rare time you are wrong here Biker. Don't catch that with you often. 😉 Luggage can be dropped off at PC with the porters starting at 7:30 am. Source? The porters themselves, when I asked them recently. I have dropped off at 9:00 before, just to get a parking spot inside the garage. Parked, then walked around the port area until check in time.
  5. Everyone we have talked to that are on the B2B second leg...is having the same problem with the Bermuda travel authorization nightmare. Ugh... I was unhappy that I did not book this second leg, but happy now that I did not with what you are all going through. 😮 This is one week off, and then onto Harmony B2B. Glad I did it that way after all. 😉 Got home around 9 am, 2nd load of laundry in already. Getting all fresh for repack again. Hope you enjoy your Bermuda leg...should be fun! 🙂
  6. There were 3 pax that were called to GS, apparently they could not reach them in their cabin, or by phone message. Heard one woman telling her companions that their other friend tested positive and were rechecking with full PCR test. For me....I don't stress over my B2B test if I don't hear anything. No news is good news. Believe me, if you are positive...they will find you. 😉 Naturally this is just for cruises going to Bermuda....most of the other ones have discontinued B2B testing. Will see if this is the case when we board for B2B Harmony on the 22nd. So I think you are in the clear...no worries. 🙂 Rare for us not to do a B2B, but this cruise was fill in last minute booking.
  7. Fine Line (loved that one at night) does not seem to show up any longer on the Aqua Show line up. 😞
  8. Aww...I miss those pictures of my favorite Maine Coon Cat! Hope she is doing well. Sooooo little sister eh? Another Maine Coon Cat? 🥰
  9. Doesn't look all that inviting....IMHO. Are you enjoying any of the shows Ellen?
  10. We are enjoying our current cruise on Mariner. None of the rude pax as we had coming out of PR. Same thing with recent cruises on Odyssey and Harmony. Good cruises both, and looking forward to Harmony B2B again on the 22nd. We still have one cruise coming out of PR for next February...would cancel, but it was my sister's request for her birthday. (She has never been there)....so will be doing Voyager out of there.
  11. Totally agree about walking around in Curacao. 🙂 We decided to try yet another waterfront restaurant again. We walked into that waterfront fort area on the other side of the river this time (the one you pictured the arch in) and enjoyed our lunch at Perla Del Mar (there are 5 different restaurants on pilings over the ocean). Great local food, drinks, and the ocean waves crashing under us 2 feet away. Heaven! Agree about the peppers...I couldn't eat the Vidalia onion tart. All I could taste was peppers. Must be something about the Chef that loves peppers. Too many dishes are covered with them....entrees that just should not be over powered by those peppers. Otherwise most of the food in the MDR (IMHO) has been good. Watched the poor woman being lifted into the ambulance...but fortunately she seemed alert and moving her head around. Strange thing though...ambulance attendants were starting up on the gangway with the gurney...then were stopped. Much discussion later between officials, then the attendants went back into the ambulance to fit themselves with full hazmat suits. Yikes. Hope your scratchy throat was just that....just a scratchy throat. Thinking positive thoughts that you are so negative! 😉
  12. Totally agree with all! Also had very good service and decent food in the MDR. WJ...yeah...what a zoo! OMG...avoid at all costs! Ground zero for rude shoving "me first" pax with total lack of manners. Ventured in a couple of times for glasses of water...and quickly back out. Bar service we adored at the VCL bar every night. And indeed our cabin attendant for both legs in same cabin was top notch. Also totally agree that we would sail EX again...but definitely not out of PR, which brought on all the rude people....and apparently had the supply issues out of there. So many things out of stock during both legs.
  13. For us (on same B2B) it was more the shortages (of everything) and the very rude, obnoxious, "me first' pax that were on board. Unreal lack of manners!! Ugh....😡
  14. Just to add in more entertainment info from last night. Mariner is only doing one night (2 shows) of the Ice skating show. We finished early dining at 6:40...Bucky wanted to try to get a seat at the Ice Rink for the 7 pm show. I knew better...so I told him I was going up to the cabin. He came up from there by 6:50. As I suspected, and he had to find out for himself, there was not one single seat left to sit in by then. Next show is too late for us "old farts" that have early bed times. 😉 I was content to crawl into bed and read my book for tonight's entertainment. 😄
  15. Ahhh....so the guestimate is slower IT? 😉
  16. Normally seemed to be 5-6 days...now indeed running about 7-8 days. Another casualty of short staffing.
  17. Isn't the nickname for those...."fecal teabags"? 🤢
  18. Currently on Mariner. Boarded on Saturday, presented Walgreens NAAT rapid test, was completely accepted. Or we would not be here in Aruba right now. 😉
  19. Thanks for the heads up. 🙂 Full moon is the following day on the 16th. Hoping for clear skies...will be quite the show!
  20. Taking too long. Blocks are not as nice looking as the former company. Pinnacle package taking months (not weeks) to get to you. Our pins came in all banged up, not being secure in the oversize box (LA insisted on reordering), and now has been months waiting on replacements. BAMCO sent our Pinnacle package, and another couple's package to our address, which I spent an hour on the phone with RCI CS trying to get them to pick it up and send to that couple. They finally told us to throw theirs away...what a waste. Old pins are much nicer looking than the new ones BAMCO does. Looks like BAMCO was the low bid contract.
  21. Could be all of the above...but my thinking is that too many "chair hogs" were using them as "props" with cheap bags and lots of towels. 😉
  22. Hello aring75....neighbors to our starboard side. We are also on deck nine on port side. Enjoying your review and enjoying the cruise. 🙂 Rare single leg for us...fitted this one in during a "dry spell" in our spring remodeling. 😉
  23. No, it hasn't. There is only a few books in there. Same thing on all the ships now. Odyssey was the worst. I suppose they expect us to bring our Kindles...but I am a real book person, and drag along my own in my luggage. Old fashioned I guess.
  24. Hopefully. We are not impressed with new company (BAMCO) that RCI contracted to do the blocks and the new Pinnacle packages when they lost the original company during shut down.
  25. LOL!!! I remember you telling us that. Soooo funny! 😄
