Great venue...was on the NCL Joy, Encore & Getaway recently...great Reuben sandwich, fish & chips, wings, turkey salad club, all great, all free...24/7 also..went there after the Beatle's shows or after the Frankie Valli shows..great eats after the shows...

Hi all...I was wondering for those who have cruised on the Enchanted Princess since the April 2023 dry dock: 1) In the new Irish Pub, are there TV screens to watch sports? Last year when we went on the EP, there were NO public places to see any sports...some people were pretty upset..most cruise ships ( certainly new cruise ships..) have sports bars.. also, did anybody notice what draft beers were on tap ( NOT bottled..) ? 2) Anybody dine in Rudi's Seafood place? I read a few reviews that it was very good.. 3) Replace the curtained showers with glass enclosed? I know the new Sun Princess will have that, much to the applause of many who prefer ( like me) glass enclosed showers...we are going 3/17/24...thanks! Big Al

Thanks so much Portia for this! DW & myself along with my SIL & hubby are going Dec. 9th ( along with schwaja3) and was wondering about the Supper Club...it seems there are usually 2 shows- one at 6:00 & one at 8:30 pm..is the early show dinner & later show no dinner, or can you dine at both shows? We probably will do the 8:30 show & dine somewhere else...I am interested in the ABBA & Beatles shows...thanks for any tips! Big Al

The buffet in the OL is very small & limited & is open in the early AM, then closes till 2 pm..there is no dining outside in the OL, but you can dine outside on deck 8 on the Waterfront...

I was on the Encore Jan.'22 and it was great...don't miss the Observation Lounge on deck 15..perhaps the best public space I've ever seen on any ship..Beatles show fantastic..dining outdoors on deck 8 also super...beers in the district Brew House great...

I really appreciate you posting this as we will be on the Escape 12/9/23..just got off the Joy 4/27 after a 12 day cruise..super cruise...the Joy was also sold out @ 3800 passengers..we didn't have a problem going to our 5:30 dinners at the Manhattan Room..maybe because it was very early..our 5 specialty dining dinners @ Ocean Blue, Cagney's, Teppanyaki, Le Bistro ( outside on deck 8..fantastic!!), and the Food Republic were all amazing..loved the Local too..Reuben & chicken salad sandwich there were great along with the fish & chips..thanks again! Hi all..my wife & I are going to Tortola in December on the Escape and she cannot swim..we were at the Baths about 12 yrs ago, but I walked thru the caves while my wife took some pics & maybe a video...I need to know if at any time going thru the caves at the Baths, do you need to swim because it is too deep to walk OR can you walk safely thru the entire caves area? BTW, she is only 4'11...thanks! I also put this post up on the Tortola site.. Big Al

Thanks, but I know the District Brew House has 26 beers on draft plus another 70 in bottles and I don't see that amount here..I think these might be the beers at normal bars..but thanks!!

Hey guys does anybody know if HARP is available on the NCL ships, specifically the Joy? We are going next week and my friend loves Harp, but I don't remember seeing it when I was on the Encore last year..I figure the District Brew House might have it..maybe someone has a list of the beers there? Thanks for the photo.."Diet Sprite" has been "Sprite Zero" for a few years now..same product, different name..I hope it is Diet Sprite, the only soda I drink a bit of...😎

Hey guys I know NCL switched their soda to Coke products recently..I was wondering if anybody knows whether they carry Sprite Zero ( AKA Diet Sprite ) and if it's included in the regular drink package? Also, the hair dryer in the cabin, is it in the drawer ( like most cabins..), or in the bathroom? Thanks..going on the Joy 4/15 for 12 nights...just checking.. Big Al

Don't forget for beer, The District Brew House has the most draft beers ( 26!! ) on the 7 seas...another 70 in bottles..I am in there daily for my craft beers...I am a self confessed beer snob, and the District Brew House on deck 8 is great for a beer & watching sports...I will be in there April 15th on our 12 night Joy cruise!!! We are on the Joy for a 12 nighter 4/15..like you we also LOVE Ocean Blue..I had the Tiger Shrimp ( on the Encore last year..), Lobster Thermador, and Key Lime Pie..I almost called the medics it was so good..and dining outside over looking the sunset was fabulous!..I am a huge Beatles fan ( grew up with them.._), so we loved that..also loved the Observation Lounge on deck 15..simply stunning...The Waterfront is great...we love Teppanyaki, Food Republic as well..Cagney's is good, although some have said it has gone a bit downhill lately..we like Le BIstro, and the escargots there are killer..looking forward to more reviews! We were on the Encore Jan '22 and we loved our Club Balcony..the bathroom is the deal changer...dual vanities..we could actually brush our teeth or comb our hair at the same time...and the shower was big enough for Andre The Giant..AND it had sprays coming out of the walls...very cool...my wife was soooo happy! We booked the Joy in April again with a Club Balcony..everything else about the physical cabin is the same..JMHO.... Big Al

What outside agency did you use to get to JVD? "The Escape to JVD" is still not available on the NCL site for my Escape cruise in Dec...just want a back up in case...and how much $$ was the excursion? Thanks! Big Al

Thanks for posting! 4 of us are on a 12 night NCL Joy cruise out of Miami 4/15/23..I've been on the Encore, so similar in many ways...how is the Observation Lounge? We LOVED it on the Encore..what an impressive space...my favs are the OL ( as I just said..), District Brew House for my beers on draft ( I am a beer snob, love great beers on draft! ), Cavern Club & huge Beatle's fan..I love the Waterfront on deck 8, and I love getting a Reuben sandwich at the Local/ O'Sheehan's...how is the crew & service? Notice any changes? Some reports I've seen on YouTube say they are not as happy as before with the cutbacks...any thoughts? Thanks again 😎..can't wait to cruise the Joy!! Big Al

I LOVE a Monte Cristo!! Never seen that on a cruise ship ( 43 cruises)..was it on the MDR menu for dinner or lunch? Big Al

Ocean Blue on the Encore was the best meal ( and still is after 43 cruises on 7 cruise lines..) I've ever had at sea..we dined OUTSIDE on a gorgeous night over looking the sunset..I had Tiger Shrimp..it was THEE best shrimp cocktail I ever had!! Followed by Lobster Thermador..it was super..then I almost passed out when I had the Key Lime Pie w/meringue on top for dessert...I almost called the medics it sooooo good...the perfect meal..Cagney's was ok..the Filet is the safest choice there..Le Bistro was good, and their escargots is the best on the 7 seas IMO...it depends always what you order.. Ocean Blue is a seafood place..don't order beef there..Cagney's is a steakhouse..go with the filet or maybe the NY Strip..their side dishes are better than their entrees...food is so subjective..we also love Teppanyaki..never disappoints...
