Are these menus on all ships now or just the larger ships? Some of our favorites have disappeared. While it's not the end of the world, I'm kind of hoping that the old menus will still be on the Dawn when we sail in a few months.

We got word from the Maitre D' in La Cucina on the Dawn that these menus were changing September 2018.

  2. Unfortunately, according to the world points rep, I can't use points to upgrade someone else's cabin.

In this particular voyage, I was doing a back to back cruise with relatives only doing the 2nd portion of the B2B cruise.

If we were only doing 1 voyage then I could switch passenger cabins on the reservation and then to the correct cabins once on board the ship.

Anyone know of a way around this so that i can use worldpoints for a meta upgrade on another cabin?

Do you have time for the other party to get a Norwegian credit card? If yes, then you could just transfer the points to their credit card. Then They can upgrade their own cabin.

  3. We are flying into Boston about 10am on Friday and staying at the Yotel. We are going on a cruise on Saturday so we will have several pieces of luggage. Is this manageable on the bus?

It sounds easy we just get on a Silverline bus and get off Courthouse Station and the hotel is right there???

    thank you

You need to be able to pick up your own luggage. I only had one suitcase and a small bag. I wouldn't bring more than that. Expect to have no room on the luggage racks to put your stuff. I had to stand in the door area with my bag. Don't expect anyone to help or move for you to sit either. Where I exited from the silverline, I had to walk across the street to Yotel, but that's easy enough to figure out once you are outside.

  4. Ugh. Silver line bus was a hot mess yesterday. I was watching it’s arrival time jump around...it said due then next thing it said was 14 minutes. I’m thinking... did I miss the bus? Am I in the right spot?

I eventually found a flight attendant who also waiting for the silver line bus and she helped me out. First bus that arrived, hardly no one got off, plus people stepped in front of us, so we couldn’t get on. Next bus was about 2 minutes later. We were able to squeeze on to that one.

I thought I was reading the map like this.... airport stops, then silver line way, WTC, courthouse. It wound up being airport stops, WTC, silver line way, WTC again?!?, courthouse. Let’s just say if courthouse wasn’t after that “second” WTC stop, I was going to get off anyway and walk to my hotel.

I hope things go okay today!

  5. Eventually got it straightened out, but now I'm really confused on how much a SOLO person in a cabin for two is supposed to get on a 1 week cruise. When I sailed last November by myself in an inside cabin, they only gave me $50 OBC. I don't remember who told me, but the reasoning was because I was 1 person in a cabin for two, I only get half the normal OBC of $100. :-/ So, this time I got $100 OBC, again sailing solo in an inside cabin on the Dawn. So, confusing!

  6. So I know the fine print says to send the shareholder benefit documents in 15 days before your cruise. What about us who book a week out? I booked Friday and sent in my documents on Friday. I emailed them again Tuesday double checking the benefit. I just realized I did not scan the right document, so I sent that in. I have had no emails from shareholder benefits department saying I sent the wrong thing or denying me. Customer service through NCL seems clueless. I explained the issue to him and he replied, "What do you want to do today? Pay off your cruise?" He must not have heard a word I said since the cruise is paid in full and leaves in 2 days.

I did see one post that someone else mentioned that they had no problems getting their shareholder benefit for a last minute cruise. Anyone else care to share how things worked out for them booking a week or less in regards to their shareholder benefit being posted to their reservation?

  7. HI all -

I'm confused about the Silver Line in Boston. I will be going from Logan Airport to Yotel. I know to get off at Courthouse and it's in the basement of Yotel. I think that's SL1? I think that's all straight forward. Where do I got to find the bus after getting my bags from baggage claim?

So, then how do I get from Courthouse to well... where do I get off at the cruise terminal? Is this SL2 bus? Looking at the map it looks like I need to go from Courthouse to Silver Line way, but then I've seen people say I need to transfer at World Trade Center? I'm so confused. Please help.

  8. Hello all, I know this is probably explained somewhere in this thread but I did read through and have NO idea what any of the terms means. I just applied and was approved for the card so I will get the 10,000 bonus points. Once i pay for the cruise & flights, I expect I will have at least 20,000 points. My question is -- will I be able to upgrade from an Inside cabin to Oceanview with 20,000 points? do I need to be in a specific Inside category to do so? I am booked in IA. Upgrading to balcony with the points wouldn't be an option, would it (how many points would I need for that)?

This is for a sailing NEXT July (2019). So assuming I get to 20,000 points in the next couple months, would it make sense for me to do the upgrade right away vs. waiting? I just want to get the best upgrade for my points that I can. This is the sole reason I applied for the card. i did read the thread, but I am lost with all the within double meta talk. Thank you!

You need 30,000 to go from inside to oceanview.
