  1. Hi all,

Avid cruiser here with first cruise on Celebrity edge booked for September. I am interested in doing Eden for dinner. Everything I have read so far says to do the dinner during the show times in Eden, but I have NO idea when that is? I know the ship just started sailing again, but just wanted some info from those who have sailed on her before.

when you book it will have either day 1 or 2 and ask you will for a time .  This is a workaround to the system.  You actually make your reservations once on board

Setting up the reservations as soon as possible after boarding will give you the most options of restaurants, days & times.

Can you explain a bit more about the day 1 or 2... I’m trying to understand.  Sounds like it might be easier to book what I want when I want rather than trying to save a little money with a dining package?

  3. Booked my first cruise with Celebrity a few days ago. I picked Edge. I have cruised many other times with other cruise lines. Can someone help me with the dining package for 3 meals? What restaurants does the dining package cover? I’m a bit confused if I did buy the dining package how I would make the dining reservations. TIA! Oops I guess I should ask what restaurants people recommend? Looks like Eden is a bit like Royal’s Wonderland? We were STUFFED by the time the entree came out for that restaurant! lol

This cruise was removed from booking last November and the only activity was people canceling until a few weeks ago.  I called to change my stateroom a few days ago and Inwas told the cruise was close to selling out so I am not surprised that it was removed.

Glad I got the interior room with a sofa bed & port hole windows (that’s an OCEANVIEW on other cruise lines! lol) when I did then!

  5. I’m going to go out on a limb and say I think it is not canceled. I suspect carnival is having to limit the number of passengers on the first couple of cruises at least. I have seen on Facebook where people tried to book the July 4 cruise a couple of days ago and were told there was no space available.

John Heald seems to be very aware that those two cruises were no longer on the website and he says it isn’t canceled. If it actually was canceled, I can’t imagine them still allowing people to be able to book excursions, make payments, reserve dinners etc.

Also, Royal Caribbean has announced cancellation of several cruises, yet they are still pushing forward with cruises out of Florida in July. However, they are not making all passengers be vaccinated which is probably what will happen with our cruise.

I am still twisting in the wind, having been 1 day behind others in getting prelim approval. I imagine only on the last day of every month they will check to see if there is any cash to disperse, if the refund program hasn't been cancelled by then.

If I get a refund, I plan to hang tight for a few years for the demand bubble to settle down, then catching up with some back to back cruises.

Dumbth - Did you ever get your refund? I’m considering applying for a refund at this point.

I never wait. Grab it while the program still allows it and cabin choice is better. 60,000 points is not doing any good where its at.  If they cancel, they will refund them.

They have already messed with the program 2 months ago. Whats next????

What did they do 2 months ago?

  8. Questions for those who have single use bonus FCC. Has anyone applied it to a cruise and then later had to cancel? Were you able to get the bonus FCC reinstated as a credit? I got yes as an answer from the online agent chat on NCL’s website, but this person also said I had no bonus credit when I have 4 of them.

What about the one time use FCCs that were given when cruises were canceled by NCL? If you pull your regular FCC - the amount you first paid for your trip - will the extra FCCs go away too?

I’m wondering the same thing. I asked via online chat that exact question. They said the bonus credit would be reinstated, but this person also said I had NO bonus FCC when I have 4 of them.
