jerrib Posted August 20, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2018 Been to Curacao many times but never explored Otrobanda. I read somewhere that there is good shopping and restaurants on Breedestraat. Does anyone have experience here?
c-leg5 Posted August 21, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 21, 2018 Been to Curacao many times but never explored Otrobanda. I read somewhere that there is good shopping and restaurants on Breedestraat. Does anyone have experience here? We have done it. I think it depends on what sort of experience you are expecting and your sense of adventure. We followed some but by no means all of the following walk. (Scroll to the end for otrabanda) https://www.curacao.com/media/uploads/2015/07/15/CTB_Walkingguide_2015.pdf We enjoyed the Kura Hulanda area and then went to Netto’s Bar to try green rum at 143 Breedestraat. http://www.nettobar.com As I said it depends on your sense of adventure, probably not for the average cruiser and is certainly not the most upscale part of town! bup1224 Posted September 10, 2018 #4 Share Posted September 10, 2018 Been to Curacao many times but never explored Otrobanda. I read somewhere that there is good shopping and restaurants on Breedestraat. Does anyone have experience here?Definitely a more "local" area than Punda. Netto Bar, as mentioned, is a well known bar here. Sent from my SM-G920V using Forums mobile app

dutchclogs Posted September 15, 2018 #6 Share Posted September 15, 2018 Not on the Breedestraat but we did enjoy lunch sitting on the terrace of De Gouverneur overlooking the Queen Emma bridge.
