ann141 Posted January 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 10, 2018 We always risk buying advance tickets for a train about 9 30 but we always make sure we self disembark if we choose this option. There is always the possibility that the ship may dock late (and horror of horrors we have to buy another very expensive ticket!!)but so far we have been lucky. If we weren t self disembarking we would probably book tickets for 11am or noon
Britboys Posted January 10, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 10, 2018 I would book tickets for 1100 or slightly later and request a late disembarkation, which is then usually around 10.00.
Bolgi Posted January 10, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 10, 2018 I'd buy an open return. You'll have the reassurance of not having to pay twice if you are delayed for any reason.
jocap Posted January 11, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 11, 2018 We usually book for the 9.15 north train, but we've always self disembarked and so far always made the 8.15 north instead.
