If you find yourselves at the door of the closed dining room it will take all of 30 seconds to either walk up or down the stairs, or take the glass elevators (which call directly in front of the dining room entrances) to the open one.

The dining room hours on embarkation day tend to be limited and rigid. Thus, if there is any hiccup in getting on board, despite your status, the dining room may close even though the terminal is filled with hungry passengers. We had the experience once when the ship shifted as we were boarding, and we had to wait on the dock for 45 minutes until the Captain was satisfied things were safe.

When we were on the Coral last Fall it was the Bordeaux dining room, deck 5; it was only open for lunch 12:00-1:00 pm on embarkation day.

Identical on our Coral cruise 1/20-2/4. I was a little surprised that it was only open for one hour. Saw some disappointed faces for sure......
