zackiedawg Posted September 25, 2017 #7 Share Posted September 25, 2017 How the week started - Monday, day after Hurricane Irma, time to clean up the neighborhood: How the week ended - Friday headed up to Disney World to take a well-needed break from all the cleanup! The view from my table at one of my favorite restaurants, San Angel Inn at Epcot: The very lushly-themed land of Pandora, at Animal Kingdom: A beautiful wildebeest, having a bite to eat on the savannah: This hyena perfectly captured my feeling at the end of this past week:

Rare pierces Posted September 29, 2017 Author #9 Share Posted September 29, 2017 As I walked around the deck prior to sailaway, I saw the hovering mass of Mt. Rainier hanging over the horizon. As many times as we've been to Seattle, we seldom see the tallest mountain in the Cascade Range due to the local weather's propensity towards overcast. At 14,000 ft., it is an imposing presence even at 60 miles away. Shooting into the sun with a lot of atmospheric haze is seldom a recipe for a successful image but in this case, the illusion of the massive mountain floating over the bay worked for me. The trip was a repeat of the prior year’s vacation and I was happy to find new things to shoot along with some much needed relaxation.
