Casino points

I know that the dates for point accumulation are from April 1 - March 31. My cruise sails on March31 - April 7. Will my points star for the new period or the old period??

Since 7 of your 8 days actually are in the "new" year, there really is no way they would put the ito the prior year.

If they apply points to your account daily, there is a chance those earned on 3/31 will get applied to the old year. Maybe.

Good Answer! We cruised last year with a cruise ending on April 2nd. I sent this question to Casino at Seas by email and received three different answers from a couple of different people. I was so confused by those email answers, but I kept them as proof in case I had problems with tier status.

As I only had about 1100 points that were April 1st & 2nd, I'm keeping a close eye on things this year. I can tell you that the March points did go to the prior year.

You might want to send this question directly to CAS so that you have a record of their answer. If you are close to 'Tiering' up you definitely want to make sure you are tracking during your cruise. I have been Sapphire this year but will probably go up to Ruby on our January cruise. It pays to track if you are close to another tier.

I don't know how anyone could think that points earned on April 1st or later would apply to a year and tier that ended on March 31st. (even if someone from CAS gave a wrong answer)

I wasn't trying to say that so sorry if it came out that way. I just believe in being proactive so I don't have to fight that battle later on. In my case, 6 of 7 days were in the prior year. I wasn't totally confident that they would look at it day by day or perhaps as a total number. I know in Vegas their 'day' can end at 6am the next morning.

When I was on the 3rd cruise of the year I asked the Executive Host on the Escape to tell me how many points I had earned year to date. She gave me the points for my two of my cruises but didn't 'see' the points I had made on April 1st of the first cruise of the year. I was intrigued she could give me the points from the other two only. That's why I wanted to document that I had made those 1100 points in the current year.
